How long can you stay in MK on a MVMCP if you don't have a party ticket?

I know the party officially starts at 7 pm. I know party guests are allowed in as early as 4 pm.

Anyway, if you don't have a party ticket can you stay after 7 pm for dinner or shopping? What's the cutoff time that you have to get out. I know you can't do the rides after 7 pm.

6:50pm-ish.

If you are finishing a meal and it’s after 7pm, as soon as you’re done, you must directly exit the park.

You’ll need to head out of the park prior to 7:00p because you won’t be allowed into any dining venue or attraction lines beginning at 6:00 because everything is closed to regular guests at that time.

I can't speak to the Christmas Party but I can speak about the Halloween Party. Halloween party people got special wristbands. If you did not have a wristband you were squeezed out of the parks. Not sure why you are asking this. If you don't pay for the ticket you should leave. People pay extra for these things.

I'm not trying to take advantage. I'm just trying to figure out if you should go on a non-party night instead. We have 4 party nights on our week; so scheduling is a bit difficult with this party going on.

Wow 4 nights? Sorry I assumed. I could see how that would be hard to schedule around.

Plan on doing as much as possible through 6:00p and then leave to eat at a Monorail resort, your own resort, or an offsite restaurant.

A week ago we were at MK on a party night. We arrived 15 minutes before RD as we were headed to Space mountain and not a lot of people on that side of the hub.
We left about 6. We were able to ride everything we wanted to. We were able to get FPs for 9 rides that day.
We did Space Mountain, Buzz twice, Jungle Cruise twice, Haunted Mansion twice, PotC twice, saw the muppets show twice, Country Bear, Tiki Room, Little Mermaid, 7DMT, BTMRR twice, Poo, People Mover.
We had low crowds all day.
So, it is possible to get a lot done on a party day, even having to leave early.

We stayed until almost 8. Can't have dinner after 6. No one checking wrist bands to get into stores so I suppose you could make a few purchases.

We will be at the MK on 11/25, a party day. Liberty Tree Tavern has had a lot of ADR's available in the last few days for after 6 pm (like 6:20, 6:30, and 6:50 pm). They are not listed under the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Dining reservations. Their web page says they are open until 7 pm that night. Since we don't have a ticket for the party, I assumed we could only make reservations up until 6 pm. Has anyone had any experience with this situation? Will they turn us away if we have an ADR for 6:30?

You'll be fine. LTT is not open during the party, so they take later reservations. You will probably be escorted out of the park afterwards, though.

9 Fast Passes??? HOW?

I can directly help if you have a dining reservation. Last December we had a BOG reservation for dinner on a party night, and were not attending the party.

When we checked in at BOG, we were asked if we had a party ticket, and when we said no we got a different colored wristband - (even the kids had to get them) that must have indicated somehow we were allowed in the park late but still not eligible to do anything.

When we left BOG, we did head directly to the exit and didn't try to stop in a shop for anything (kids were already pooped), but it was still fun to walk out with the "snow". Made me wish the kids were older and better about sleep times varying so we could go, but its not meant to be just yet.

Not sure if that's still the current practice, but it was last fall.

(And yes - we LOVE going to MK on party days - especially in the morning, it is so quiet!)

Our experience has always been that wrist bands DO in fact get checked upon entering stores after official park close.
I've seen this, too.

However, if you are already inside the store, they don't throw you out. So, I would spend the day doing rides & attractions, then do any shopping you want to do. For a really easy exit, you can enter the Emporium near Casey's & kind of "shop your way out" rather than trip over people walking down Main Street.

CMs will be there to direct you to the exit as soon as you leave, so make sure you have everything you need.

Our week is like this as well. Go for Rope drop on a party night. You will be surprised at how much you can do that day. YOu can book dinner put to about 6:50 at restaurants that do not participate during a party. You can get into attraction lines before park close at 6PM. You cannot make purchases after 7PM in any store.

Use the time right up until you cannot, and it wil be a very productive day.

You were lucky. They check.

YES^

Been doing parties yearly sometimes more than once since 2006. The standard should be no non-party guests in the parks by 7 pm, with current 6 pm close, except for those finishing up meals. They are supposed to be escorted out of the park other than Tony's.

Yes, there should be CMs at the doors and by 7 pm no one without a band should be allowed in the store let alone make a purchase. I have seen many folks turned away from stores and I've them in the store refused checkout because they had no band. I've seen them refused ride entry, refused buying food at counter service, refused forward motion in the parks and even refused entry into bathrooms. At our party last month they were enforcing it. This is how it should work. The park closes at 6 pm. Unless you have an ADR that is okay for non-ticketed guest ... you are expected to be out of the park by 7 pm. And I have seen guests who were trying to stay escorted out.

I totally agree with hiroMYhero - be leaving by 6 pm and have a relaxing meal at one of the hotels or Disney Springs. It's just not worth the hassle of trying to deal with the crowds coming in and closure of most the park to non-ticketed guests. If you get there at rope drop with three booked FP+ and roll that 4th you can get plenty done. It is not unusual for us to roll and end up with a dozen FP+ each day at MK.

I know that feeling. Every night of our December trip is a party night (except the Saturday, and I believe the day we are checking out). You can get a good amount done this time of year if you come at RD and stay til' 6. You won't be able to ride rides, meet characters, or pretty much anything after 6. I personally would leave a little before 6, and perhaps enjoy the holiday offerings at HS, Epcot, DS, or any of the on-site hotels.
