How long before Obama dumps Biden?

Just puttin' it out there, so I'll look all smart and stuff when it actually happens.

Biden, clearly, was a terrible choice for Obama which, combined with the Palin nomination, essentially killed Obama's campaign. He should have gone with Clinton, and he knows that now. So, how does Obama dump Biden and get Clinton to minimize the Palin erosion of voters without looking like a total clown?

The answer? Biden, who had a brain aneurysm 20 years ago, will suddenly have a "health crisis" causing him to step aside "for the good of the campaign." Once Hillary is named to replace him, we'll find that he's "resting comfortably and will make a full recovery." Anyone who snickers at the obvious ploy will be deemed "insensitive" and "uncaring" to all Americans who have suffered from aneurysms, because "while this turned out to be nothing serious, it could have been very serious! Sen. Biden did the right thing!"

This is going to happen. I guarantee it. Remember you heard it here first!

Someone actually started a similar thread the other day and suggested that it would be a "health crisis". He gave the date of the news conference as Sept.12. He beat you to it. I also heard rumors on Fox News the other night when they were doing RNC convention coverage. I think its a concern for the GOP actually. Lets hope that Biden isn't so willing to throw himself on his sword and Hillary isn't so willing to pick up the gauntlet.

Regarding Biden, he will definitely fall on the sword because the media will help them sell the "health crisis" story. And Hillary will take the job because she'll so enjoy getting credit for "saving the ticket."

I'm telling you, it isn't a question of "if" this will happen, but "when." Sept. 12 sounds about right. It's a Friday, they can try to bury what will be some critical coverage in the weekend, and by Monday morning all the network news guys will be saying "Well, we're really praying for Sen. Biden this morning but it looks like he's going to be OK. That's some good news." Now move along. Nothing to see here. On with the campaign.

I think this is a very real possibility. But I think it will only happen if Obama actually tanks in the polls and McCain takes a lead that's outside the margin of error. Or if he tanks in the polls of the battleground states.

I don't think that will happen. I think the election will remain very, very tight, and anyone's guess as to what happens. If that's the case, what it would probably "cost" the Obama campaign to actually lure Hilary on to the ticket would probably be seen as not worth it.

I am not going to bet on this one. I don't even buy lottery tickets, but, I would NOT be surprised if it happens. Rush even alluded to it the other day. There is
rumors going around that I do agree, that if it happens, Obama will look like a real big jerk and he will have trouble weaseling out of it.

I worry more about Nancy Pelosi taking a more controlling interest... and Obama letting her. The latest spin from some respectable people is that Obama will the all the peoples' president, not just for Democrats. I sincerely hope that is true. I also think Pelosi is thinking she has a puppet in Obama and I sincerely hope that does not turn out to be true. We will know in short order, though.
