We are just back from WDW after a 10 day trip that spanned Memorial Day weekend. We used Fast pass almost exclusively to avoid the long lines but did see these wait times for stand by:
Space Mtn: 60 minutes by 10:30 a.m.
Splash Mtn: 75 minutes at 2 p.m.
RnR: 45 minutes at 10 a.m.
ToT: 30 minutes at 10 a.m.
Test Track: was by far the worst of the "thrill" rides: by 8:30 a.m. on EMH the wait was 45 minutes; by 9:30 wait was 75 minutes!!!
Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh were close seconds in the "dreadful wait" category: 75 minute waits at 1 p.m. in 96 degree heat....I love my kids beyond words but I do not think I could have stood there in the heat for those rides
It amazed me how many people still do not know about fast pass. I can't tell you how many people we heard muttering/complaining as we walked by in the fast pass line while they were mired in the stand by line. All I can say is USE FAST PASS
Last Tuesday when we walked through Fantasyland everything had horrendous waits- 80 minutes for Pooh, 60 minutes for Philharmagic, 40 minutes for Snow White, and 95 minutes for Peter Pan! Fortunately we had rode most of these during E-ride the night before.
The Tuesday before that, waits were almost that long, but we were able to get a lot done with good use of Fastpass.
When we went in July 2002 we waited 90 minutes in the standby line for Splash. When we went again in October 2003 we waited 60 minutes in standby line.
Of course a lot of these long waits are most likely posted after 10.30am. If you get to a park on or before opening (at least half an hour), unless it is exceptionally busy you will have shorter waits.
When splash first opened.. i remember waiting 3 hours for that. The line was all the way to Adventure land. Not to mention the actual line in the attraction. Thank god its only like and hour when we go now!
