In case I have to move my park days around, what is the likelihood of getting a walk up ressie at H&V for lunch? My only concern with moving my days around is there are no open ressie's for lunch in HS on that day. Surely, we'll get a ts somewhere, right? :confused3

I remember last year while we were waiting for our reservation, someone walked up and asked how long the wait was and the CM said 'reservation only at this point.'

If you are at DHS without a reservation, another option is to take the boat from just outside the front gate to the Epcot-area resorts. They are less likely to be full than the in-park restaurants and you don't have to have Park Hoppers to get there. My preference would be Captains Grill at the Yacht Club but there is also Beaches & Cream at the BC, and ESPN and Big River Grill at the BoardWalk. All are 1 TS credit.

I think your chances depend on lots of factors: crowd levels, number of reservations booked that day, number of no shows that day, the mood of the CMs, etc.

Overall, your chances at lunch for H&V are much better than your chances for dinner at 'Ohana, for instance. I'd show up at the beginning and/or at the end of lunch and inquire about a table. Seems that folks around the DIS have had some luck with walk-ups at those times rather than the middle of a meal service.

If H&V lunch is really important to you, stalk the online ADR system and the "cancelled" thread for your month on this board. I have been very lucky getting what I want for our upcoming trip that way.
