How likely or unlikely is an August discount?

I just booked the 8/22 three day cruise for almost $3000 in category 5. My TA just notified me that I could get a category 4 on the 8/29 cruise for $2400. Unfortunately because of DH's job we can't go then. Is there any chance that the cost of my cruise might go down at any point?

I told DH that his employer should give him $600 spending money since they are keeping us from the 8/29 cruise - yea right!

Thanks,
Jeannie

Not likely, I'm afraid. All of the lower pricing starts in late August, as you see. DCL has never lowered pricing on a summer cruise (they don't need to, they book up) and I doubt they will start now.

Have a great cruise! :)
