How likely is it to be able and walk-up at a table service resturant?

We are leaving next Friday for 8 fulls days at Disneyland, ya hoo!!!

When I go to WDW, I always have all my ADRs in place months in advance. I have been a less rigid with this trip mainly because I have gotten a sense that DL is a little more laid back. I did make a few reservations: Breakfast at the Plaza with Minnie, Dinner at Goofys and Lunch at Storytellers.

I know that I will want to hit Cafe Orleans at some point, but I have no idea when. Is it possible to walk-up at Cafe Orleans without a reservation? And what about other resturants like Ariel's?
Thanks again!

I think Blue Bayou is the only place within the parks that take reservations. As locals, we always walk up to all restaurants. During the week should have no problem at all. On weekends, it's more crowded. I would try to eat at off times to avoid waits.

On our visit in July we had a dinner ressie for Carnation Cafe and it was totally not needed. There was hardly any one there.
Then on another day we went to Cafe Orleans to eat, without a ressie, and the wait was only 10 minutes.

I have never had a problem walking up to a table service restaurant. The only time I had to wait (about half an hour) was at Carnation Cafe in the middle of August.

If I'm reading this correctly you're going to be getting there Friday (4 Sept)? If so this is the beginning of Labor Day weekend and may be a bit more busy than a normal weekend. It may be beneficial for you to make a couple of priority seatings just in case.

In the parks there are only two or three places that even are table service...Blue Bayou (PS pretty much mandatory), Carnation Cafe & Cafe Orleans (PS recommended but not really as important at BB).

My rule of thumb is if you really want to eat some place then make the PS. If you dont care then don't and just go with the flow.
