How Late does the boat to WL from the CR run--doing a sleigh ride -How to get back???

We have a sleigh ride booked for a Sunday night at 9:30pm right after a dinner at Chef Mickey's----I was wondering how long it will take us to get to the WL via the boats at the Contemporary or would it be better to take a bus??

Am also concerned about coming back to the CR ---that's where we are staying---will the boats still be running after 10:00??--We might like to stay for a little while after the sleigh ride to check out the WL Xmas decorations.----Or will we have to take a bus and how long would it take us to get back that way??? thanks

If the boats aren't running that late, then the bus from the WL to TTC might be. If you get to the TTC, then you could take the monorail to the CR.

Generally, the boats stop running between the 2 resorts at 10, but I wouldn't rely on anything within 15 or 20 minutes of that time. In May of this year, we arrived at the CR dock at about 9:35 or 9:40 to catch the boat to WL. We waited there with several others until a boat came near the dock at 9:55 and asked if we were waiting for the boat to WL. We told him Yes and he informed us that he was done for the night. We had to hike back upstairs to the monorail to the TTC and then waited forever for a bus to WL. It wouldn't have been so horrible, but I'd had a long day and had acquired some nasty blisters, making it painful to walk.

The boat stops running around 10pm. However, the boats last run may be before that time as the previous poster mentioned.

From WL, you can take a bus to the TTC, and then catch the Monorail from there. One thing you can do is when you board the TTC bus, mention to the driver that you are going to the Contemporary. If the Monorail is nearing shut down time, the driver will take you over to the Contemporary themselves.

What is this sleigh ride, Ive never heard about it before? We are going to be at WL in a few days and that sounds like something we could add to our trip

jimmytammy, the sleigh ride cost $30 for a 30 minute ride. It is available Nov.30-Dec. 30. The hours are 5:30 pm to 10:00pm. For ressies phone 407-824-2832. There is a thread on the resorts board about it.
