Our plane dosen't get into MCO until 11:20pm. How late does DME run? From wat I understand if you put the yellow DME tags on your luggage you will not recieve ith until the next morning. How early do they start delivery the luggage? Or if we were to claim our own luggage would we risk missing the DME bus? We are flying Southwest and staying at POP. Does POP have RAC for Southwest?

80 days 21 hours 46 minutes till we leave for Disney :dance3:

DME runs 24 hours. If your flight arrives after 10:00pm, you MUST pick it up in baggage claim, they no longer forward it.

All resorts have RAC for Southwest.

What's the cut-off for getting your luggage the same day? We arrive at MCO at 8PM, probably won't get to AKL until 9PM or later on DME. Will we get our luggage that night, or have to wait until the next day?

The cut-off for having the luggage service is 10:00 p.m. If your flight arrives before 10:00, you can let ME handle the bags and they "should" arrive within about 3 hours from the time you land. That doesn't always happen though. We have had our luggage in our room before we finished checking in (CSR) and have waited 6 hours (POR) (we weren't actually waiting, we went to the MK and when we came back for a break, they were delivering our bags).

If you let ME deliver your bags, you might get a knock on the door at midnight or later with an 8:00 arrival time. If that's okay with you, let it go. If you'd rather, you can claim your bags the usual way and then go check in with ME for the bus transportation. (Don't put the ME tags on your bags if you want to claim them yourselves.)

Not exactly. The delivery time stated by DME is three hours from the time you check in to your resort not the time you land. So really, it would be 4 hours+ from when you get off of the plane (assuming it takes 60-90 minutes for you to get to your resort and a little longer to check in.)

And at the mods and deluxes they will deliver your bags in the middle of the night unless you make arrangements to have them held. If you don't want to be awakened in the middle of the night it's also a good idea to put out the Do Not Disturb sign, since requests to hold the bags don't always get to the right people in bell services. If you call when you get up in the morning it usually takes on 15 minutes or so for your bags to arrive.

AFAIK, the values don't have luggage services after midnight and your bags won't be delivered after that.
