We are thinking about eating at Tony's for lunch during the week between Christmas and New Years and I'm wondering if this is a decent choice. I've seen some bad reviews but I thought the lunch menu looked pretty good and the prices didnt seem too bad for sandwiches. We arent looking for a buffet or anything too fancy, just a quiet place to sit down (away from the crowds) and have lunch without having to deal with counter service. I would love to hear your thoughts on Tony's. Thanks

Hi,

If you do a search on this board you will find dozens of threads with people giving their opinion on Tony's.

More than most restaurants, Tony's has a large group of hard core supporters and a large group of people who think it is horrible.

If the menu appeals to you, give it a try. Never mind what other people say, everyone's taste is different!

We ate at Tony's for lunch in late August and it was good. My wife and I had sandwiches which were great and our three children had pizza, one from the adult menu and two from the kids. The sandwiches and the pizza looked better than the spaghetti we saw at the next table, but it was really hot outside and a big plate of pasta just didn't appeal to me at the time. The restuarant was empty when we were there, with servers lined up to take us to our table

We like it for lunch. We haven't tried it for dinner, and dinner seems to be the meal that most folks dislike there.

We also never tried aan actual pasta dish, we usually have soup, salad and sandwiches.
