How is today's snow affecting you??

So sorry you all are having to deal with that. We don't have that here and I'm glad. We did get a few flakes the day after Christmas, but it didn't stick.

Here in CT it's been the snowiest month ever, and we could still get some more Saturday....

...here too, in the Garden State.....at least I get to stay home today....

DH is out using the snowblower and it looks like we got at least 7 inches....

...we got around 16 inches of snow...

We lost power for about ten hours last night in Northern Virginia. The neighborhood is a mess with tons of broken branches and trees cracked in half. I left work in D.C. around two yesterday and thank God I did or we would have never got home. Some people did not get home till 5am!
The route to the Metro this morning was littered with abandoned cars.

Uggggg, I'm so TIRED of it The worst part of it is the slush underneath. It's so heavy that I can barely lift it, even though it's not that high.

No snow from this storm up here (north of Albany). I leave in two days for Florida.

What a nightmare commute yesterday. It took my DD 8 hours to get from Tysons Corner to Springfield.

I heard that from some of DD's friends in the DC area as well.

This morning we had a guy come to plow our driveway and he got stuck and had to dig out before he could plow us.

Well, we had about 8 inches for the record here, but I am going to say maybe more like 9 in our complex.

DH is coming home right now, had about three hours of sleep at work last night. One of his co-workers left around midnight after the snow ended, but even then, barely got home due to so many abandoned cars in the way of snow plows and so many trees down. I was just amazed watching tv at night, that at 11:30 pm there still was bumper to bumper traffic in Tyson's corner (No. VA) and people running out of gas, and then getting stuck in the gas station since no plow could get to the gas station due to the traffic!! WOW!!!

Oh, and our wonderful neighbor next door saw my dilema with the car (as I was using a bucket to shovel the snow) and helped me dig out my car . It is a mess here, tree limbs down (luckily no cars got hit) many cars still un-dug out, just yucky!
