How is the weather and the crowds in late June?

We are arriving June 20 for 6 nights. What is the weather like then and how busy is it?

Late June - Northeast US schools are out and start their travels to WDW.
A bit rainy in the afternoons. The Florida heat comes into summer.

Always get Fast Passes when you can. Do AK & MK in the AM. EPCOT best in the rain. MGM next best in the rain.

Crowds are crowds - when is the most magical place ever empty

Buy the WDW raincoats - very light to wear, fits over backpacks - and if they rip - just go to place where they are sold are swap it for a new one

Carry a water mister - one can do the whole family. Refill the water mister at water fountains or just ice from a snack eatery.

Treat yourself to a $2.50 Mickey ice cream in the afternoon.

We do not take our children out of school. We travel the end of June into the first week of July.
We do early morning flights to avoid thunderboomers when our flights land and take off.

My family and I were at WDW 6/26/04-7/5/04. Crowds weren't terrible at first, but got heavier and heavier as July 4th came closer. It was hot, but that's expected in the summer. One thing we experienced that never happened before was that there were 1 or 2 days when it actually rained the whole afternoon/evening. We were used to the typical afternoon thunderstorm which would only last 20 min tops. I don't know if that's more typical now or just a freak occurence. Of course it didn't ruin our trip, we still had a blast

You might want to plan on mid-day trips back to the hotel to relax or go swimming if it gets too hot.
