How is the view of Wishes from FW beach?

I know I can see Wishes from the beach, and I have followed the conversations about where to go to hear the music so I'm all set on that.

I'm wondering how obstructed the view is of the fireworks? Is it obstructed enough that I should still take the kids to see it at the MK? I would like to avoid those crazy park-leaving-after-fireworks crowds, but I want them to get a good experience, too.

We sat and watched it this week. The show is easy to see. However, in my opinion, there is nothing quite like seeing it at MK, standing on Mainstreet with the castle as the centerpiece.

We watched the 4th fireworks from the beach alongside the cabin. The view was great. The only problem we had is that we were a little too close to the horses, if you know what I mean...

I'll second this opinion . I would suggest watching it at MK first...it's worth tolerating the crowds. Then any free nights you have at the Fort, sit on the beach and enjoy. It's nice on the beach but it's Magical on Mainstreet, USA .

I third that- we love watching from FW, but it IS Magical standing on main street looking up at the castle.

As you can see from the photo, we were just East of the Marina, and could here the music, althought not as loud as at MK.

We watched the July 4th fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian. We were directly opposite the castle and the music was piped in so we were surrounded by the music while we watched. On this occasion we also had the electric water pageant/parade stationed in front of us and the scenes from skoba-nelson's photos were right in front of us. Also, for the 4th, it seemed that a lot of the fireworks were launched from outside the park as if they were intended to be viewed from outside not inside the park. For the 4th's fireworks it was worth the trip via monorail and boat to see them.

There is a little section of beach where people ride their carts on to watch the fireworks, it's back by the BBQ area (I think?).

But I agree, you need to see it at MK!

We also watch from the FW beach at least once, but the Poly beach is better especially when they do the dual fireworks on July 4, Dec 30th and 31th.

Boat! (But they do pipe in music to the FW beach too.)

Nope - not at all. If the wind is blowing your direction, it will be a little louder -- but it's still not bad.
