how is the race rock restaurant?

My husband and ds5 love race cars. Is this place any good? How far is it from the WL?

If you like race cars, you have to go. They have 4x4's, dragsters, bikes, helmets, all kinds of memoribilia and if you're a true affecianado, you won't want to leave. It is at 8986 International Drive which is closer to the disney end of the strip. Not sure about exact distance, but only by car/ cab.
BTW, the food is pretty good too. The portions were huge and we had to take a ton home with us. Hope this helps,

We haven't been there for several years but...
We really enjoyed it the few times we went. The atmosphere was great and the food was good. Our memories are that the food was better than other theme restaraunts like Rain Forest or Hard Rock Cafe. Portions were huge!
Can't help you with the true distance, but my estimate is that is was about 5 miles from Disney property.

Don't forget the Nascar cafe at Citywalk universal. Racerock is fine. Loud though.

I'd stay away from Nascar Cafe, was not impressed at all and I'm a big Nascar fan. The food was average at best.

If they prefer Nascar racing I'd go with Nascar Cafe. Race Rock has a variety of racing vehicles. The food at both is only average so I'd pick based on the "scenery"

Went to Race Rock a couple of years ago. Food is what you might expect - just OK. There is race "stuff" there to look at (and buy). The kids loved Big Foot in the parking lot. It is pretty amazing when you get up close.

There are TVs playing great races (or something like that), which is kind of a pain when you are dining with 4 men (big and little) who can't carry on a conversation because they are too preoccupied with the televisions..........
