How is the Keys to the Kingdom Tour?

I'm thinking about doing the Keys to the Kingdom Tour next time I'm in WDW. Does anyone have anything to say about it? (Good or Bad)

I was also going to check into the dolphin experience thing at Epcot. Would love any input.

I can't tell you about Keys to the Kingdom, but if you want to do Dolphins, I strongly recommend going to Discovery Cove. We did the last time we were there & had a blast! I was worried that we'd be bored after half a day, but they practically had to kick us out!

Keys to the Kingdom is excellent if you are interested in how the park works and the details that go into making it. We had a wonderful time and learned a lot of fascinating stuff. The only caution I would give is that it gets kind of long towards the end, so be prepared for it. We were standing down in the utilidor and the guide asked if anyone had questions. Some people never stop asking! Thought we'd never get out of there.

All in all, a great experience. IT's fun to feel like an "honorary cast member" for awhile.

I highly recommend this tour. We did it on Dec. 13 and it was pouring buckets when we first started, but eventually we got out of the rain and the weather improved. All I can say is AWESOME!! Alot of facts and trivia about MK that is fascinating. It is alot of walking, but midway through is lunch at Columbia Harbor House which was yummy!! Our tour guide was Justin and he knew his stuff! (can you tell I enjoyed it?)

Definitely worth the money!!

We went last month, and I thought it was great to hear all the behind-the-scenes tidbits. If you're into that kind of stuff, you'll love the tour.

Be prepared, though - it's not so bad to walk around, but the STANDING nearly killed me!

We went on the tour 12/29 and loved it. Learning about behind the scenes did not diminish the "magic". We got to see the floats which was great since they had the Christmas parade and I would not have gotten to see the 100Yr of Magic parade. Having lunch ready and not having to wait was nice.

We had the most awesome time on this tour! Mostly because it was JUST hubby and I on our tour with our guide Will. It was so awesome having a vip individual tour of Disney. 2 other groups were resserved to go but this was about a month after Sept 11 and they must have chosen not to vacation. So we know if we took the tour again, it just wouldn't be the same!!!! Also, it was real nice having lunch ready for us when we got there. There was a real nice girl who served it and she was so funny cause she wanted to wait on us hand and foot even though everything we needed was RIGHT THERE. We finally told her to SIT DOWN with us and we had a great time chatting. We actually saw her that Thursday night for PI cast night, she walked up to us (totally different in "cool" clothes instead of costume with pig tails, lol) and said hey there, hope you had fun. What a great time!

We went on Dec 18th as a suprise for my DH's 45th birthday. When DD's 16 and 20 got there they were whispering that it wasn't going to be much fun. Too many "old" people. I did point out that the honeymoon couple didn't look that old to me!!!

We really enjoyed the tour as well. Our guide was great. I just wish I could remember her name. We loved our private Jungle Cruise and the food at Liberty Tavern was great as well as the guy (I'm not sure of his official title) but he greeted us at the beginning and was there at lunch.

The only thing that bothered me was the first time we went backstage. Once we went behind the gate and saw backstage I thought I don't really want to see this, I like the magic and pretending this isn't really here. Weird I know!

Once we got going backstage it was great though. We did walk a long time but we all made it just fine.

And the no fun girls? They enjoyed it as much as everyone esp when Miss 16 answered a question no one else knew.

I've done this tour and it was a blast! If you are the type of person who appreciates the magic even more when you understand that behind the scenes of it, then it's the tour for you.

My wife and myself did this tour in 2001 and just loved it. If you really love WDW than I'm sure this tour will be for you. You learn so much about the Magic Kingdom that you never knew before. This is one tour that I would do if I was you.

It was great. Learning about all the little things. The thing I liked most was going down and looking at where they keep the floats and how they worked. They showed us various floats they showed us the inside of one of the bugs that go around on the electrical parade. They showed us the regular three o'clock and they showed some of the floats for the holloween parade like Pooh's Honey Pot. I was also amazed at how the garabe system worked and the large collection area just in front of the garages for the floats. I wouldn't miss it. It does require walking and I am not sure if you have a problem with stairs if you could go on the tour when we went we had to go down two flights of stairs to get to the underground.

I took this tour in July 2001 and it was the highlight of my trip. It was very interesting and informative. Just going down into the Utilidors for the limited time we did was well worth it. The one thing to keep in mind is that you stand quite a bit out in the heat, depending on the time of year.
