DD7 has a BBB appointment in DTD at 10:30. We're going to MNSSHP that evening, with CRT for dinner. We'd like a convenient, non fru fru TS lunch (on DXDP) to hold us till dinner. We did Raglan Road & WGP in prior years, and would prefer to try something a bit more casual and kid friendly. It will be DH, DD7, DD16, and me. None of us have ever been to PH, and are ok with the RF/Friday's type menu. I got a 12:30 ADR, but now I'm reading a lot of bad reviews. How is the food/atmosphere?

We had lunch there in Sept and were pleasantly surprised at how good the food is. Probably the best fries I've ever eaten. It was noisy and crowded
but the food made up for the noise. We'll probably try to eat there again next trip.

We were there last Oct. and had no complaints. We will probably be back next week. :)

I ate there last Sept with DS16 and it was his favorite meal of the week...we'll be headed there again this Sept.

My family liked it there, its not our favorite but good for casual and kids. It is very loud but theres a lot of things to look at. The food was pretty good though. They have a lot of burgers, sandwiches, and some pasta dishes and I think they have small pizzas too. You can probably check out the menu on the website.

It's well worth walking thru, some very interesting movie props that are worth seeing. I would pass on eating there.

We ate there in December and it was good but I really had no plans of going back on our trip in August. My son and DBF insisted. So, we are going again lol Can't disappoint my boys.

Its ok. If you are looking for casual and non fru-fru, this is a good choice.

Good choices are the crunch chicken (used to be called Capt. Crunch chicken), LA Lasagna and the ribs. The LA lasagna is a big portion though.

We ate there a couple of times years ago when we weren't on the Dining Plan and the food was nothing special but certainly acceptable. Kind of what you would expect for a chain. The atmosphere is good if you don't mind loud. Now that we get the Dining Plan I certainly wouldn't waste a TS credit on PH, but since you are on the DxDP you have credits to burn.

We ate there in January and it was HORRIBLE. Food was blah to say the least and the staff were less than wonderful. Won't go back again.

I agree with this. We also had relatives that hadn't been in a few years, we forgot to tell them not to go. They stopped by our house on the way home and told us that they couldn't believe how bad it was. And they are not picky people at all, they will eat anywhere.

Planet Hollywood is my family's favorite place to eat at WDW. You can't go wrong with a NY Strip Steak, BBQ Ribs, or Burger.

We plan on going back to Planet Hollywood again in September for most of our table service.

Enjoy! :cool1:

Something to think about... there are plenty of other Planet Hollywood's in the world. But there are only two T-Rex Cafe's and Raglan Road's.

T Rex's food is really good too, especially the ribs!

We ate at Planet Hollywood for the first time last week and really enjoyed it. Yes, it was pretty loud, but I didn't find it unpleasant or unbearable (and for the record, I'm 56). I enjoyed the type of music that was played - seemed to be contemporary pop. The volume made it a bit difficult to carry on a conversation - didn't have to shout, exactly, but definitely had to speak up. Even so, we really enjoyed it. There's so much to take in - lots of movie and tv memorabilia and pictures all over the place. And I had some of the best salmon I've ever eaten. The staff was pleasant and attentive. I'd eat there again without hesitation.

We were there last week and really enjoyed it. the whole group enjoyed it but it was loud and crowded but it was dinner time on Sat night. Good service, really good food. Had the NY strip, ribs(my 11yr old DS ate the whole plate full-and wants to go back for more) will be back again.
