Heading down in a month and have eaten at a lot of EPCOT restaurants. We have resrvations at Teppon Edo, but have never eaten there. How is it?. Is it good with kids?

We liked Teppan Edo. Some of the pics in my signature are from there. The dinner is communal style meaning you will sit with other people. We had 4 in our family. My youngest was 3 at the time and had her dinner served in a airplane. I ordered some sushi as an app. We had to pay out of pocket for it but my little one ate all of it in a second. She loves sushi!
It was very cute! The show is a hibachi style show with flaming onion volcano. Here is my food trip report. There are more pics in there http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2337135

ate there last month. The food was quite good. It's similar to hibachi restaurants we have nearby. They serve white rice in a cup and soba noodles with the meal - no option for fried rice.

We had chicken and shrimp. The other family at our table has steak at medium rare, medium and well done. All the items were cooked well.

We have eaten there twice, and will eat there again in October. It was my kids #1 choice. The food is fresh and delicious, and we've been lucky to have very entertaining chefs both times.

We have eaten there and it was very good, but it was just like other Japanese restaurants here in KY. A good show, good food, but nothing extra special.

We tried and enjoyed on our last trip in Jan. We were on the DxDDP. Our DD was 6 and only ate the rice I think, but she is a light eater. I think we might have got her to eat a couple of our shrimp. DD won't eat onions, mushrooms or zuch. So she didn't eat any veggies with that meal ;) DH and I both had the steak and shrimp combo. We had the ribs and beef rolls apps. I think we skipped dessert since it was ice cream or chocolate ginger cake. DD might have had ice cream. We weren't stuffed but it was nice change not to waddle away from the table :rotfl:We would definately go again. I think DD ordered chicken. We had a nice family at our table. They stopped to chat with us at Narcossees and few nights later. It was nice change from our regular meals since we were onsite for 11 nights. Not necessarily a must do but we would definately go again if it fit into our schedule. :thumbsup2 Give it a try, our DD enjoyed the show aspect too.

This is not true, there are no "flames" in the onion at Teppan Edo - it is steam. Some will be disappointed if they expect flames.

We love Teppan Edo. It is FAR better than any teppan style restaurnat near us at home. We go every trip

There is fire if they lit the oil on fire. They do tame the show down a bit if kids are sitting right there.
