How is it in October?

We have only been in December and love it! We are considering going over Fall Break in October this year. So we were wondering how the weather and crowds are in mid October. We have been during the busiest week of the year, Christmas week, so I am hoping that any thing will be less crowded than that. Also, is MVSHP worth the money?? We have a 7 and 9 year old. Thanks!

I have been the first weekend in October in 08 and the 31st in 09. The crowds were light compared to summer, so I am guessing compared to December too! We loved MNSSHP. Treats for the kids, characters dressed up for Halloween. And lots of photo ops you can't get at other times. If you like Halloween (the dressing up and seeing costumes part, not the being scared part) then it is worth it. Plus, nothing compares to Splash Mountain at night

the beginning of october is one of my favorite times to go especially when florida is feeling friendly and giving us some cooler weather! the crowds are very light during the week on non MNSSHP days. i think the party is worth it but there are big crowds. if you dont want to pay for the party make sure you dont go to MK the same day as the party as they let those people in early and the park can fill up by afternoon! if you do want to go to the party take advantage of them letting you in early =]

We have been there at this time of the year as well as several others. It is our second favorite time to go. We love the week after Thanksgiving the best with the decorations, lighter crowds and cooler weather. That being said, we are scheduled to go again this year in mid Oct. The weather is usually nice with little rain which makes it warm enough to swim most of the time. Crowds are a bit more than Nov-dec, but I didn't think they were bad at all. If you are used to Christmas week, you will think the park is nearly empty! Yes, the Halloweeen party is worth the extra money in our opinion,
