*How is FRESH at the Dolphin?

Hi!
My DD and I ate at FRESH during our Dec. visit, and it was great! You are seated, and your server will bring OJ and ask if you would like coffee, then you visit the various food areas. There is a fresh-squeezed juice bar, with fruit/veggie juices available, then is an small area with bacon/sausage next to that. Further down on the left is the grill area for eggs - made-to-order omelets, as well as fried or scrambled, however you prefer. You simply tell the chef what you would like, and they cook it for you. Next to this is the french toast/pancake area, where you tell the chef what you would like here as well. When we were there, the offerings were french toast, strawberry-cream cheese french toast, pancakes and pumpkin pancakes, but the options change weekly, it seems.

In the middle of the room is a large area full of baked goods of all kinds, pastries, muffins, cakes, etc. as well as cold cereals and fruit.

It was all excellent, and the price was very reasonable ($15.99), we will definitely try this again! Enjoy!:teeth:

Hi- Been there twice--- the first time was in Nov. (Just Hubbie and I) and we loved it- Yummy food, great service.

We went back 4 days ago (Hubbie, DS and I) and were less than thrilled. Food was still good- but there was nothing my son would eat except bacon ( It was brunch, and he istn't going to eat citus mahi for example)- so we paid $11 for my 4 yo to eat bacon, plus $2 for a sprite); the coffee and juice are no longer included in the price; and the service was awful (the kicker is that we had the same waiter!- except he spent all of his time at a nearby table pandering to the 2 kids there (they got crayons, my son didn't, etc.) whilst my "all you can drink" sangria glass sat empty (so that turned out to be an additional $5 poorly spent). I doubt that we will go back...Jill

We went November 21st for breakfast and it was awesome. This is the first bad review I have heard, I really hope it was a bad moment. Deb has reviews of it on her site at www.allearsnet.com , I think that is the site.

I am planningon making our PS for our 1st morning at the Dolphin for FRESH! Can't wait to try it!:D

It is by far the best place to have b'fast at WDW. We ate there twice in Dec. and loved it both times. Use the search button to find reviews of FRESH, I posted one myself a few weeks ago.

Yes- I have an idea that my experience was a "bad moment" - still - we paid more than $50 for breakfast for 3 of us, and I expected more than bad service - especially since the restaurant had probably 10 filled tables in it tops (nearly empty!). As I've said, the food was very yummy (that was why we went back the 2nd time)- it was just the experience that left me disappointed.

I was frankly amazed that the restaurant was so slow, since it was Christmas week, and every other restaurant we went to was packed. The week before Christmas they closed the restaurant during lunch because of no business (I had a PS for the 20th, and they called to cancel that one - we went back on the 28th). Maybe they aren't doing so well?? Jill
