How is Fantasy World Club Villas compared to Windsor Palms??

A friend of ours just bought into this timeshare (I guess it's Intervol International timeshare, actually).

Our family was seriously considering a villa at Windsor Palms that I know we could get for $ 105 a night. My friend said they get 12 transferrable weeks a year, which would mean aroun $400 a week, I think she said.

Does anyone know anything about Fantasy World Club Villas?? Are they nice? Are they as nice as Windsor Palms? (I'm kind of guessing that they are not. From what I gather on this board, WP is a VERY NICE place)

It looks like you are kind of comparing apples and oranges. I have not been to Fantasy World but have stayed at WP.

I checked tripadvisor.com and there seem to be very mixed reviews for FW.

You are comparing a timeshare resort to a community of privately owned homes. FW is apparently all 2-bed, 2-bath condos. WP has 2 and 3-bed condos, 3-bed townhomes and 3-6-bed pool homes. I believe some WP homes are owned and occupied by permanent residents, not renters, so it isn't all transient guests.

WP has a nice clubhouse with good size pool, game room, gym. There are basketball and (I think) tennis courts.

We rented a 3-bedroom condo for $90/nite. It was beautifully furnished and equipped and I'd certainly recommend it.

Maybe someone else who has stayed at FW can tell about that.

Windsor Palms, hands down.

I have stayed at both Fantasy World and Windsor Palms. Fantasy World is clean but older, some nicks and scratches, sagging beds etc. Not nearly as nice as Windsor Palms.
