HOW is everyone getting codes??

I am an avid Disney-goer & go at least once if not 2 or 3 times every year! I have never recieved one of these postcards everyone is talking about. Is there any way I can get in on these savings?

Honestly, I don't know. I am signed up with them at disneyworld.com and have never received a postcard, until this year. My only guess is that it has been since 2006 since we went to WDW and they want us back. We went 04, 05, and 06 and have not been since (though we did do Disneyland 07).

Good luck. I am planning a 09 trip and can only dream I can get another offer like this one!

I've never gotten a code by mail, but I just realized that last year (I'm one of those that never deletes emails) I had some Disney Destination newsletters that had a code with my name next to it....had no idea and of course we weren't planning a trip back then...just got curious to see if I've ever gotten something...but I've never gotten a code by mail...I don't have a clue if those codes were a good deal or not, but boy don't you know I'm checking everything from Disney these days, so atleast their marketing has their name in front of me more than ever!

Here's hoping we get code dusted!

Everyone seems to agree there is no telling who gets the codes. We have gone 2x a year for 3 years, never a code

We go often (about 4 times a year). With over 60 visits to WDW under my belt over the last 20 years I have to say I've never received any offer by email or snailmail. However, almost everytime I've called and asked about promotions I've always had one listed under our names/address. So I would guess somewhere I'm listed as not wanting info mailed. Yes, I've updated everything, from my DVC accounts, AP account, disneyshopping account, any and all accounts tying me/husband/adult kids to any disney account. Whenever I update my profiles I always click to receive info. I do receive all information from disney destinations whenever booking. I receive tons of stuff in the mail and online. But never one offer telling me about a room discount. THere is no logic. But I do now call whenever I see a post about a discount and luckily I've managed to get some great CMs. (I've gotten a few duds too). I have the 40% discount for our August trip, only because I called. When I did the CM said I had a 30% discount and I asked about others and he said there was a 40% one too.

My dh got a code last week but I didn't.

I am the one on the main reservation on all our trips & a few trips I went on with out him (single days too).

I ordered the planning video in my name & his. I got the video in my name but not in his (yet). But last week I got a code in his name. Of course it is for May & we are going in August but I called to see if it could be used then & the CM said no.

I put down my dh's last visit as 2000 & mine said 2005. I am hoping he gets a post card again in a month or so for our summer dates.

I just called and asked. Never received anything via email or mail and they happened to have a 40% off code on one of my family members. I would advise everyone to just ask when you call to reserve! =) Good luck!

We have been to WDW 31 times now and have never received a code (maybe someday).

I received an email for 20% off values for certain dates, within a week of ordering a planning DVD. Shortly after I ordered, I saw a post about being sure to sign up for all the newsletters you can get, so I went into my disneyworld.com profile and signed up for those newsletters, especially Disney Destinations, and I think it was a day after that that the email came. Since it was from disney destinations, if I hadn't signed up for that newsletter I wouldn't have been added to their list to email, but I don't know if it was that specifically that spurred the email, or if it was a combo of ordering the DVD and also signing up for the emails from Disney Destinations.

I just went onto disneyworld.com and updated everything, cuz we had moved in July. But, i too have never received any code!

Don't feel bad because we have also never gotten a pin code, email code, snail mail code or anythong else. I actually asked a CRO CM once and she didn't have an answer for me about how I could get on the list. Granted we eventually usually have geotten AP or FL resident rates but I have local AP holding friends that are always getting codes.
