How is Early Morning Magic?

I'm considering doing EMM with my family in January. Of course, it's going to cost over $300 for us all to go so I guess I'm going to ask the age-old question: Is it worth it? Anyone who's been -- would you do it again and do you feel you got value from it? Is it a great experience?

We've got a little extra money built into our budget for this trip, so I wanted to do one extra event for my family. We've done dessert parties and we've got littles, so the Disney After Dark isn't going to work for us. I'm not sure if any other events would really be interesting to our kids, so I thought this one might be kind of a cool experience. Any input would be appreciated!

How littles? Tall enough for 7DMT, I assume?

We’ve done several EMMs, so I guess I’m a little biased. We think it’s great! I find it really helps in maximizing the rest of our park time/FPs plus the breakfast is actually reasonably good for Disney standards. Being in Fantasyland with such a small crowd is really unique and fun.

At 9 when the park opens we scurry off to do some other rides quickly while lines are low, then circle back and eat breakfast closer to 10AM. Then start our FPs. We find we can tackle a huge chunk of MK by lunchtime and then be back to the resort for pool/resort time. A perfect Disney day!

I don’t consider this an “OMG you have to do it” type of event, but if the budget allows and you think it might work for your group, I’m a big fan.

Have fun!

Yes - all tall enough for 7DMT. And we're taking our niece, who's 9, and it's her first time to Disney World. I want to do something extra special for her and I feel like this fits the bill.

And yeah -- I thought that doing this would really save us on Fastpasses for the day! If we could get our fill of 7DMT and PP, then no need to fastpass those! Thank you so much for your input!

We loved it when we went in August. I was with my fiancee, DD7 and DS9. We rode 7DMT 6 times in a row, PPx2, Pooh, then grabbed pastries and drinks from the restaurant and headed over to rope drop Space Mountain. First ones on SM, then hit Haunted Mansion and IASW before sitting down to breakfast about 9:50. Plenty of food and they don't rush putting things away at 10. You are able to come and go to the breakfast as many times as you please during the event. Considering the cost of BOG breakfast or CRT it was a great value considering what we got done. It also put us ahead of the normal Fantasyland crowd and we had short waits at Pirates, BTMR, Splash, etc. afterward.

We thought it was great! I was a little hesitant because my DS8 is always a little scared on SDMT, but my older 2 really wanted to go. However after my little one rode it a time or two he finally loved it! He had the best time riding it over and over and over!!!! He even finally held his arms up which was a big deal for him.

We rode SDMT about 8 times(I think my girls rode it more), PP 3, and WTP once. At opening my girls went to Space Mountain and met us at breakfast.

I think we were so thrilled that my little one had such a good time since he is always a little scared of the "big rides", and we would not hesitate to do it again!!

My DH and I did it in July and we have it booked again for our January trip (this time DS16 is going as well). We thought it was great! It REALLY helped us tour the entire park much more quickly and efficiently that we normal do (even with tons of planning). Getting the popular rides in Fantasyland over before the park opened allowed me to make FPs for the other popular rides for a late morning time. When the park opened and everyone headed to the three most popular attractions my DH and I did Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and Jungle Cruise. We did Buzz right before starting our first FP. We had done all of the more popular attractions by 11:00. That allowed us to eat lunch and then just enjoy being in park. For the less popular attractions we just decided as we got to them if we wanted to ride. We felt we had a complete day by 2:00. We weren't really all that excited by the breakfast but we decided to try it right before the park opened. We were actually shocked at how good it was. I guess I had some low expectations since it was at Pinnochio Village Haus. Seriously, the breakfast was so good. I love to take photos all over the parks and doing EMM also made it possible to slow down and use my camera.

EMM was our favorite thing we did on our trip last January. We rode SDMT five times in a row. Being in the nearly empty park was the best. We just booked it again for our next trip.

We did EMM in August of 2016. Due to extenuating circumstances, we actually got there about 15 minutes late, so only had an hour of exclusive ride time. We still got plenty of rides on 7D, as well as a go or two on Peter Pan, and Pooh, and then breakfast.

We enjoyed it enough to do it again this past August, and this time we didn't get there late lol. I think it is a good value. This summer I think we managed 8 rides on 7D, plus Peter Pan, and Pooh. The breakfast is good, plenty of options, including fresh fruit, and coffee / tea. It is very likely we will do this again next summer as well.

As a previous poster suggested, you will be doing the big stuff in Fantasy Land before the park opens. Schedule your first FP+ for maybe 10:00 - 11:00, expecting to not use it until 10:30 or so, and plan to hit a couple of the other big rides right as the park opens. You could easily do Thunder, and Splash, and then either Haunted Mansion, or Pirates probably before the lines start to build up. At that point, you have your 3 FP+, and you have done perhaps 15 rides, or even more, before lunch time.
