Quick question!! DH and I are going to DW Oct. 14-21 2012, and I was just wondering if that is a good time to go?! It's after Columbus day so I thought that was good! We went last time in Feb. So we are hoping it's a good time to go! :)

Since it's after Columbus Day, it should be a great time to go! The weather is still beautiful and all the fall festivities are going on. I love Halloween at Disney.

It's one of our favorite times to go!!:thumbsup2 It's still hot, the crowds are not to bad and it's all decorated for Halloween. :)

Thanks for the info! How is the food and wine fest? We are really excited about the haloween party and the F&W fest!

We are going October 3-7, 2011. How are crowds then? I have only ever been in June/July.. so I'm hoping it's less crowded than other times that I've been.

It will be much less crowded in October than in the summer months. But, the weather can go either way. It could be cool or hot. We went last year in October and they had a freakish heat wave while we were there and it felt like August. ugh...but we still had a great time!

The food and wine festival is great and you can use snack credits if you have the dining plan.

We have only been to the MNNSHP once. But, we really enjoyed it...especially the parade and the fireworks show. They were both like nothing I had ever seen before.

Hope you have a great trip!

Oct is less crowded but still very very hot and humid so pack accordingly! And plan lots of breaks through out the day. Best to plan park visit in the early morning or evening and rest or swim during the heat of the day.
F & W is ok. It nickels and dimes you to death. $4 for a two bite taste of something can add up quickly.

Oh one other thing. Oct is still hurricane season so take poncho's with you.

This will be our 15th Halloween! Can't wait. F&W is great but really crowded Friday and Saturday nights. LONG lines!!! Go in the daytime and do the "walk around the world" and eat and/or drink what you want then. Week nights are not bad though. The MNSSHP is fantastic. Haunted Carriage ride at FW campgrounds is alot of fun. Decorated really nice. It is a time of the year when you can do things that are not available other times of the year.

Crowds are not bad at all. Weather is mid 80s in the day, 70's at night. Some nights you may need a sweatshirt. Fla. weather is unpredictible so we have been there when it was cold but that is rare. No afternoon thunderstorms and the humidity is tolerable.

This is our favorite time of year to go. Enjoy!:yay:

:goodvibesThanks everyone! I'm even more excited now! Are there a whole lot of people that dress up for MNSSHP? I can't wait to go and experience it all!

It's a fabulous time to go!! DH and I have been there that timeframe (including this year 10/14-10/22) for almost all of our trips. It's still very warm - have only had to wear pants or a sweatshirt 2x in all of our trips. Very little rain other than the typical random sudden downpour in the afternoon and then sun immediately afterward. Food and wine is fun - DH and I usually take a night and just nibble our way around the world showcase! Crowds are manageable - weekends at Epcot are still pretty busy with F&W since the locals will be there as well. Although I have not personally been to MSSHP, DH and I have seen tons of people heading to it and there are some really amazing costumes! Hope you have a fabulous time!!!
