How is Cat Cora's new restaurant?

We liked it. No pics, but I remember what we had and it was all good. I had a seafood stew and it was very tasty, lots of fish. It did not come over pasta, which would have made it perfect. DH had a slow-cooked meat, I think a lamb shank and he loved it, very tender and flavorful. Both kids had the steak and liked it. It came with good potatos. Desserts were to go, cookies, and they were good.

The reviews have been mixed so far, but I adored Kouzzina. It instantly became one of my favorite restaurant on property. I particularly recommend the whole fish, cinnamon chicken and fisherman's stew, but everything I tried was delicious.

In reading countless reviews of this place, I have realized that those who like it tend to say in their posts that they love Greek and Mediterranean food. This may sound obvious, but I have concluded that perhaps the menu is authentic and may seem exotic to guests expecting something different. I'm not sure. I love Greek food, and I loved Kouzzina. If you like Greek food, I bet you will, too.

Agreed...it was great! Had dinner there in Feb. 6 of us including 2 kids 6 and 4. Absolutely one of the best at WDW. We tried many different things and it was all good. Service was great, if not maybe too attentive. Not in a pushy way though. Restaurant was half full when we sat down but full with many waiting by the time we left. We told the waitress our food was great and the chef came over to thank us and chatted for a few minutes. Great dining experience.

except that it kept us dry on a night of pouring rain...but otherwise, gave it a 3 on a scale of 10 (10 being the good places, lol.) Keeping in mind we're not spectacularly picky and we LOVE most Disney restaurants (even most of the buffets;)) We love Greek food generally (one of our favorite towns to visit in Florida is Tarpon Springs...the sponge docks area is one Greek restaurant after another...Greek food heaven!) We just thought Kouzzina really messed with the seasonings badly.

Now we were there shortly after it opened so maybe was still a lot of bugs being worked out. But I've seen several reviews since that kind of echoed our experience so think it's perhaps very inconsistent.

Here's the link to my review, posts 56-58. There are pictures of adult beverages, entrees and desserts . http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2255028&page=4

I don't know about the regular menu, but we had Thanksgiving there and it was amazing!

We've eaten pretty much everywhere, but are reluctant to try Kouzzina as the menu is not that appealing and high prices. Not to mention, we couldn't stand Spoodles, so we are a bit reluctant - LOL!

Like Cat Cora to watch on TV, but not so sure about eating there? Tiger

We ate there last trip. Okay, but don't intend to go back. We were really looking forward to eating there, but all 4 adults thought it to be "okay", nothing outstanding.

We really liked it and most from our group are not "adventurous" eaters ;), with that being said, we all really enjoyed it. DH and I had the flank steak, and it was very good. In fact, this was one of the best meals we have had in Disney. Our server was great too. :thumbsup2

Mmmm, I love her restaurant! Click here for a review with photos. I was there for a media event so I got to meet Cat Cora herself! I absolutely loved the lasagna; the lamb sliders were good but a little spicy for me.

We have a breakfast ADR, and are staying at the Boardwalk, so it seems very convenient for us. The menu looked basic, but good...especially the granola, oatmeal and other healthier alternatives to the abundance of buffets we'll be going to! Anyone gone that early in the day?

came across this place and the menue looks pretty good:cool1: and love watcheing here On the foodnetwork. As a child we always use to go to this small greek restraunt that we love, kind of funny groweing up In a norwegin neighborhood and with German and Scotish blood going hevealy through my veins:goodvibes. But have not try It for a number of years and not to sure how my DS would react to It I booked a Breakfast, cant go to wild with Breakfast. So I get a little taste of my childhood and I Interduce my DS to some culture.
Any feedback on Breakfast would be great.

DD17 picked all the reservations for our vacation as she is graduating this year and this is one of them. Very excited to try something new. Sounds like she made a good choice.:goodvibes:goodvibes

Loved the food :goodvibes

They have a show kitchen so it does get quite noisy... it seemed to me that with all the hard surfaces throughout the restaurant that the sound kept bouncing off everything... that was my only complaint, though... well, except that they flame the saganaki in the kitchen and not table side! Umpha! :lmao:
