How is bus service at Value Resorts w/regard to ECV's?

Hi Everyone!

We're booked at POP, but with the new discount codes out, there is a possibility that we could move to one of the other Value Resorts.

My Mom will be using an ECV and I'm just wondering how the bus service is at the All Stars? I read in a post somewhere that there was quite a line-up of ECV's and WC's due to the shared bus service.

We'll be in WDW 12/7-12/15, so one of the slower times but I don't want everyday to be a trial, waiting at the All Stars. Time is $ at Disney, and when you look at it that way, it may be "cheaper" to stay at POP w/o a discount.

Anyone have experiences they can share that compare POP with the All Stars?

we stayed at pop in March and my partner had rented an ECV which was already at the hotl when we arrived. Pop had it's own busses and did not share with any other resorts. Bussing was a breeze!!! have a great trip

hmm is this accurate? i am stayibg in the al star sports and i leave in 2 days!!

During the slow time of the day the buses might go to all 3 resorts. But with the new dispatching system it might be better since they can now see if wheelchairs are waiting.

I just returned from Pop and I am a wheelchair user. It was wonderful and we did not have any problems. There was one bus that had a broken lift and was not able to accomodate me but another bus was along fairly quickly. It was a breeze. They are very helpful we were always put on the bus first before other people for everyone safety. Occassionally there was a new ECV user who had a little difficulty controlling their ECV and the drivers were very patient. That was not an issue for me as I am not new at wheeling my chair. We have stayed at both Pop and AS Movies and as far as the room, we preferred Pop, but as far as transportation, we had no issue what so ever. We never waited more than 5-10 minutes and was never turned away because of a full bus, in fact when we were at AS Movies, they never shared a bus with the other All Stars resorts. The only time we ever had a problem waiting for a bus was when we stayed at Ft Wilderness and the bus went to WL first.

Only once have I seen an issue with busses at either All Star or Pop resorts and it was only due to the large volume of guests staying at the same time who were using w/c's and ecv's, thus there were often more guests waiting who needed the lift than the bus could accomodate. It really wasn't a problem though as busses come quickly there and I ( or the other guests) just waited for the next bus. Don't worry about any of the value resorts being better or worse- service would be the same at each.---Kathy
