How is a Disney Trip Like a Writing Desk: A PTR through Wonderland UPDATED: 9/18/10

WOOT!! What great costumes!!!!!!!! I adore Carmen Sandiego! I had all the games, watched the show, and watched the game show on PBS! What a fabulous idea!!

And Where's Waldo...that is too cool!!!!

Amazing ideas, going to be so much fun!!!!

And yes I know have that song stuck in my head LOL!

LOVE Rockapella!!! And yes, the song is now duly stuck in my head. Thank you so much. [there needs to be a smiley that's flitting its eyebrows....]

Those are costumes are so KEWL! How fun will that be?! I've seen a pic of your BF....he'll be a GREAT Waldo! (dunno, must be the striped shirt, er....sumpthin'....!). So, are you going to spend the night trying to find each other??.....:rotfl2:

.

Those are great costumes - my sister and I watched Carmen Sandiego everyday after school! :thumbsup2

My DH would so enjoy the Deluxe Dining Plan - unfortunately it won't be in the cards for us unless we make a trip without the kids - sit-down meals with toddlers = no fun for parents. :sad2:

btw - DH also DVR's Man vs Food and contemplates whether he could complete each competition or not. There are a few places he wants to go to just to try it. We went to the Big Texan restaurant a few years ago - home of the 72 oz steak - and he seriously considered trying it! :crazy2:

My due date is 9/28, but I will likely be having a repeat c-section the week of 9/21. :goodvibes

I'm thinking your BF is a closeted Disney fan. :thumbsup2

We were there in 2008, too! I saw this one guy dressed up as the Joker (during the scene when he's dressed as a nurse). It was spot on and super creepy! There was also a whole family dressed as Haunted Mansion characters. Loved it!!

Thanks for the shock tonight- I really needed one like that! One that is oh so nice, in a Disney sort of way! :woohoo:

Disney shocks (except rate hikes) are always the best kind. :thumbsup2

Tink, as soon as I saw this, I took a look in the draw of my desk and I actually have a tiny globe, it's yours if you want to use it for your costume. It's one of those little stress balls that you squeeze so it's light as a feather and fits right in the palm of your hand. It actually is attached to a cord, with a velcro band on one end so you could hang it on yourself if you wanted. Whoever had my desk before must have left it there. It has my firm's logo on it, but it's not really noticeable. Just send me a pm if you'd like it and it's yours.

I'm undecided on an atlas or a globe right now but I'll take it! I'll PM you my address. Thanks much!

TK has her Jack and you have Tarzan. Seems fitting somehow. You two really are long lost sisters.

Well, as TK is TarzansKat, it's kind of like I'm her long, lost sister, dating her ex-boyfriend. LOL!

But really, if I had to pick a character BF is most like, it would be Tarzan - adventurous, handsome, a bit stubborn, warm-hearted...oh, and sometimes he just grunts his answers at me. :rotfl:

I think so too. We may ditch the costumes after an hour or so, depending on the weather, but I want to be able to get a couple of pics in at least.

Great costume choices Tink! Can't wait to see the pics.

Well, if it isn't the big time, flaky goodness. :goodvibes How are ya? I've been horribly negligent of the ZZUB/GB/LaLa, etc. blogs. I need to get over there. And soon.

I'd like to do costume pics in front of the castle and in front of the coach. We'll see. BF can be tough with pictures. He's not a fan. Which is crazy because the man is super-photgenic. :confused3

Try here.

I've seen a pic of your BF....he'll be a GREAT Waldo! (dunno, must be the striped shirt, er....sumpthin'....!).

I think he'll be the first buff Waldo, that's for sure.

So, are you going to spend the night trying to find each other??.....:rotfl2:

:lmao:

Depends...if he's ticking me off I might spend the night letting OTHER people find him. ;)

Those are great costumes - my sister and I watched Carmen Sandiego everyday after school! :thumbsup2

I have faith that at least most women between the ages of about 28-33 will know exactly who I am. I think BF is going to have a greater 'audience'.

Ok, I think your DH and my BF would be very good friends. When we watched this season's opener at the Shula's in Miami, he was ALL about it. And when he found out there was a Shula's at the Dolphin - guess where he was trying to get me to make an ADR for. I told him it wasn't on the DP. He pouted. LOL!

There are SO MANY he wants to try. Pretty much anything that doesn't involve eggs or seafood. And I think he could get through most of them. Sometimes I look at him like he's crazy and he responds with, "You DOUBT my gastrointestinal fortitude??". Then I sigh and say, "No, my human garbage disposal, I do not."

My due date is 9/28, but I will likely be having a repeat c-section the week of 9/21. :goodvibes

I'll be thinking of you while we're at...where are we on the 21st?...Oh! While we're at Epcot! It's our Future World day. Too bad the Wonders of Life pavilion isn't open anymore. I could've gone to see 'The Making of Me' in your honor. ;)

Do you have a name picked out?

Or has been feverish and hallucinating the past week or so! LOL

I can't remember who's TR I read it on but someone said they saw a mother dressed up as Cruella de Ville and all her kids were dalmatians. Too cute!

Not to enable you but....you can get a gift card on resturant.com for Shula's that is good at the Disney one. Let me know if you are interested because I have some credits there that I'm not going to use from a Christmas gift I bought for someone. If you want to use them to get a Shula's certificate, let me know. I think you get $25 off of 2 entrees. :confused3

Aw, sweets, thanks. I don't think we'll be hitting up Shula's though. BF wants to try the 48oz prime rib challenge. I don't want to spend any of our vacation with him in a 'protein coma' so I told him maybe next time. LOL!

I got a real mental image of this and got a chuckle out of this today.

I'm not sure where I saw it, but I had read that they weren't putting out the coach this year. :sad2: I don't know if it's true or not.

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: Well you just let me know. We are never going to use the credit, we just don't go out to eat a whole lot since our surgeries.

Okay, I've been cruising through, just wanting to get caught-up, but had to take a time out for a few little thingys...

And blatent overuse of elipses.
Nothin' wrong with that... at all. You know... how I feel about elipses...

(I love you Nemo but NONemoAndFriends...give me the original ride, the original movie spiel ('...BOOM! the deluge...") and the hydrolators any day)
::yes:: RIP dear, departed deluge. :sad1:

Back to reading...

Do you have a name picked out?

That would have been so appropriate! Epcot is DH & my favorite park. :goodvibes We are 95% set on the name. DH's mother passed away 12 years ago this September and he has had his heart set on naming a daughter after her ever since - he was kind of a momma's boy. :lovestruc

So the first name will be Isabella for DH's mom (NOT for any characters on Twilight) and the middle name will be Rose because I like it and think it flows together well with our last name.

O.M.G.

Five.

Five is how many years old my first son is. Five is a great number.

Except that in the short time I've been away from the DIS, you've done FIVE updates!

Boy, do I have my work cut out for me. :lmao:

Tink, thanks for dropping by my ptr. :goodvibes

No thanks necessary! I'm excited to read it!

Isabella Rose is beautiful. I've loved most variations of Isabella long before the Twilight phenomenon. One of my kittehs is Isabel.

And I think it's wonderful that you're naming her for DH's mom. BF lost an aunt (who was actually younger than him and more like his little sister) about 8 years ago and if we ever change our minds and decide to have children and end up with a girl, we'll likely incorporate her name as the first or middle.

Well, you went and had a baby! What was I supposed to do with all that time we're usually e-mailing back and forth?! :rotfl:

However, all five chapters are linked on the first post for your reading convenience. :thumbsup2

Glad to have you 'back'.
