How is a Disney Trip Like a Writing Desk: A PTR through Wonderland UPDATED: 9/18/10

I'm incredibly impressed with your organizational abilities and the fact that your already packed up for the most part. I was thinking of dragging my suitcases out this weekend, but couldn't be bothered in the end. :rotfl:

LOL! I have faith that you'd do it too if you had all the stuff going on that we do. I'm simply 100% determined to make Disney Eve a relaxed day. I deserve it. ::yes::

:lmao: I'm NOT laughing at you... I'm commiserating WITH you! I can answer that question: 2009. Okay, it was a hair less than that, but if we round to $5K, you've got my "the AC is DEAD and it's 98*" scenario last Oct. All I can say is I was up a creek. Without a condenser. Thank all that is cool and dry for Wells Fargo Home Improvement Visa.

This has been SUCH a roller coaster ride...physically, emotionally, financially.

Never in my life have I wanted a Lapu Lapu more!

Loving the to-do list...loving even more that you have things marked off LOL!! I love a completed to do list!!!

YAY for the new apartment and furniture shopping!!! With us recently moving we're doing a lot of furniture shopping!!! I love it, hope you have fun picking out your purchases!

YAY for 12 days!! WOOT WOOT!

First...ELEVEN DAYS!

:dance3: :yay: :dance3: :yay: :dance3:

Eleven dancers for eleven days! Tomorrow is online check-in day!

Second, another update on my 'Trip To Do's:

1. Clear off camera memory card. ~ DONE!
2. Charge camera battery. ~ DONE!
3. Buy postcard stamps. ~ DONE!
4. Take $$ out of the bank.
5. Organize revised trip binder (and double check tickets). ~ DONE!
6. Finish window decorations for POP window. ~ DONE!
7. Activate Disney Rewards card. ~ DONE!
8. Buy Gorillapod. ~ NEW AND DONE!
9. Do online check-in.
10. Charge/Update iPod. ~ NEW!
11. Copy postcard addresses, souvenir list, and ADR #'s into trip journal. ~ NEW!
12. Pack morning-of items.

Thirdly - I know I said that I probably wouldn't be on much this week, but given the way just the first day of work has gone, I think this PTR and the DIS in general will help me maintain my sanity, so I'm going to try to post something every day for the next 11 (!!!) days. We'll see how that goes.

Finally, I leave you with something in honor of LL ~ a Disney list!

What I'm Looking Forward to MOST in Each of the Eleven World Showcase Pavilions

11. American Adventure - hopefully bumping into the Voices of Liberty. They move me to tears!
10. Germany - getting to see the clock chime. I've never watched this!
9. China - taking pretty pictures of the lagoon in front of the temple. Someday I'd like a yard with a pond with lotus flowers.
8. Canada - seeing the new O Canada! movie. I can't remember the last time I stopped her to watch it.
7. Italy - seeing the new set-up with Via Napoli and deciding to give it a thumbs up or thumbs down. I'm thinking the pavilion may now have a "crowded" feeling.
6. United Kingdom - Moseying through the shops, particularly the Tea Caddy!
5. Norway - Maelstrom! I'm one of those weird people that loves this ride. And I stay for the movie!
4. Mexico - Lunch at San Angel Inn.
3. Morocco - wandering the "streets" and really soaking in the atmosphere. This is the pavilion I can most "dissolve" into.
2. France - toasting Kat's mom. :goodvibes
1. Japan - One Word: Mitsukoshi.

#'s 2 and 1 are actually a tie. I love the thought of spending countless minutes (ahem...hours?) in Mitsukoshi as much as honoring KittyKat's momma with her favorite libation. Which says a lot for how much I enjoy buying Japanese candy, souvenirs and opening a pearl.

Now, hi-ho, hi-ho...ohh, you know the rest.

:flower3:

Here, have some more!!

Well HOW psyched am I for you?!!! YAY for on-line check-in!!!!!!!!!

And I love the to-do list for World Showcase!!:thumbsup2 Dude, this is gonna be GREAT!

.

12 days!!!!!!!!!!!:banana::banana::banana: I'm dancin' with you!!

Love the dancin' nanner tree!!:lmao:

WOW.....soooo close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have moments when I think to myself, "How in the world am I going to make it through that many days?!"

Loving the to-do list...loving even more that you have things marked off LOL!! I love a completed to do list!!!

The only person who may love it more than us is Leslie!

Have you heard from her? Is she having a good time?

YAY for the new apartment and furniture shopping!!! With us recently moving we're doing a lot of furniture shopping!!! I love it, hope you have fun picking out your purchases!

I'm trying to enjoy it. The craziness prohibits it a bit but I'm just putting one foot in front of the other and taking one task at a time!

Mornin'. :surfweb:

It IS going to be great. I'm 100% sure of that now. :thumbsup2

I was thinking of updating via my phone whilst walking the World but may really enforce my self-inflicted technology hiatus while on vacation (with the exception of talking to BF and KittyKat daily).

We'll see how it goes. :upsidedow

It can get obsessive.... I found myself snapping all sort of pics that made me think of one Babnana or another and sending them to Facebook with the appropriate caption. A self-inflicted hiatus may be good, not that we wouldn't love to hear from you!:rotfl:

I'm not a fan of the FB Crackberry app so if I update, it'll actually be here on the DIS only! No pics but maybe just some random trip thoughts.

I didn't use any special app, just sent the pics to my FB account like a text message. I forget how I set it up but it's just using texting to update your status.

I don't like those location apps either. Creepy.

Thanks, hon. And I'm glad you clarified. Because she'd want to know why she wasn't number one. ;)

And, honey, I could have told you that rolling saves room. Oh ye of little faith. You've learned the wiseness of the poncho, eh? Trust TK on matters as such. :yoda:

:woohoo: Woo Hoo! 11 Days!! You'll be there before you know it!!! :woohoo:

10. Germany - getting to see the clock chime. I've never watched this!

Me too. I've seen the real Glockenspiel in Germany, but not the one in Disney. How wrong is that?

8. Canada - seeing the new O Canada! movie. I can't remember the last time I stopped her to watch it.

It was actually kind of funny. A big improvement over the last one. I don't hit the films every trip, but every couple of trips I like to check them out.

6. United Kingdom - Moseying through the shops, particularly the Tea Caddy!

J'adore the Tea Caddy!

7. Italy - seeing the new set-up with Via Napoli and deciding to give it a thumbs up or thumbs down. I'm thinking the pavilion may now have a "crowded" feeling.

Ooo, I'm really looking forward to hearing your take on this! I haven't seen it yet, but was BEGGED by Gramma and Leo to book Via Napoli for our Dec. getaway. I can't get rid of the nagging "$16 for a personal pizza?!?!" out of my head.

I realized after I should've just posted two #1's.

You've learned the wiseness of the poncho, eh?

Correction: 87% of me would still rather be sopping wet than ensconced in a human-sized snack bag but I'd like it as an option.

I'm actually thinking I'll have enough time to hit up ALL the shows, which would be kind of neat.

I don't know why the idea of VN leaves such a sour taste in my mouth. I'm not enamored of the menu, so I had no desire to vie for an ADR and in my head I guess I just don't care for the idea of it taking up the whole back of the piazza. The fountain's gone now back there, right?

Aw, you don't want us to think of you as a snack?

Wait, that sounds wrong. Unless I'm the BF. I'll give him a call. :rotfl2:

I'll tell him to expect that call. I'm sure he'll be all like, "***?" when you're all like, "So, we were talking about your woman in terms of a human 100 Calorie snack pack." :lmao:

And suddenly this PTR has become an episode of True Blood...

I just want to know which one of us is Sookie. :lmao:
