How I got my round trip SWA fare dropped $66!

I've noticed the SWA fares drop at 2pm central on Tuesdays. I'm not sure if all airlines drop their rates at this time/date, but SWA does. It raises them back up on Friday.

Anyway, the fare was $115 one way. At 2pm (exactly), the fare dropped to $94, then I used my PIN code for the $25 off round trip. So, that dropped the rate down to $81.50.

I already had a flight scheduled, so in order to use the PIN, I had to cancel my original flight, then rebook the new flight using the PIN number.

OK, then after about an hour, I realized I needed to change the dates AGAIN. It wouldn't let me use the PIN again, and I couldn't get the cheaper rate by just modifying it. So, I had to cancel my flight, and rebook with a new PIN. Thank goodness I had an extra PIN I sent to my other email account! lol.

And keep in mind that I did this for the 4 of us. A savings of $268!!! Oops...it's actually $67 I saved round trip...not $66!

Go to http://www.visitflorida.com/share/ You can email the invitation to as many email addresses as you like. It takes a few days before you'll receive an email back from SWA with the $25 off RT (only) fare code. HTH.

My return flight dropped, too, so now I have a $60 credit!

Is it bad to start thinking about my next trip when *this* trip doesn't happen for another 3 1/2 months yet?

Thank you for reminding me! SWA's rates for my dates were $84 each way last week and skyrocketed to $119 on Friday. I was peeved but someone told me that they'll come back down again in the week and there they are! Back to $84. Now ... onto using my code . I can dig a $125 RT from MKE to MCO .

Congrats to all of you whos flights went down. Mine went to $119. on Friday and they are still there. My dates are July 23-Aug 6....oh please let them go down a little more on 23rd and 6th...
