How hot/humid is weather at end of September?

Anyone have any personal experience with the weather the end of September? We're thinking maybe we'll take a quick trip due to airfares that are hard to resist. I'm from Mass so I can deal with some humidity for a short period of time - but don't think if it was 95 and humid that I could make it in the parks for long.

We have been twice in Sept. Hot and humid both times but its not crowded which is a huge plus for us.

We have gone 4 times in September and sorry but it has been hot/humid. Since the parks are less crowded you are not waiting in long lines so it doesnt seem to bother us to much. I should mention that we do usually come back to resort mid-day and relax by the pool.

I live here in FL and yes it is still pretty hot and humid in Sept. if you could possibly wait 2 weeks Oct. tends to be a very pretty month and most years the humidity does die down somewhat. Added to that Oct. is still pretty slow, not as slow as Sept. but slow and you could also enjoy the Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT. If Sept. is your only choice than go for it, the low crowds make touring the parks pretty easy.

I used to HATE HATE HATE heat and humidity.

When I went in September of '02, I had plenty of both. But it was VERY tolerable because you weren't fighting a sea of humanity.

I'm honeymooning from the 13th until the 23rd of September and I CAN'T WAIT!!!! No crowds, longer Magic Kingdom hours than in the past, and my first stay in both a Disney resort, AND a Disney Deluxe Resort!

No stinkin' heat is gonna bother me!!!

We went Oct 1 to 6 last year and it wasn't bad. Mid 80's.

DD is a seasonal CM and former Orlando resident and she is remembering some times(over the past 2-3 years) where it really didn't start to get cooler until late October-early November. I think September is a warm month in Central Florida no matter what. The smaller crowds do make a difference though.

I was wondering if anyone has any tips about how the heat and humidity compare to May. That's when we usually have gone in the past, but are trying September next year. Besides the crowd level, I noticed that it gets dark earlier and sunrise is later. Since the sun beating down is one thing that makes me feel hot, I am looking forward to less sun time than May. Anyone with any comparison of those 2 months?

We went, one year, at the end of September and it was hot, humid and rained a lot. The combination of plastic ponchos and the heat and humidity didn't make for a very nice experience.

Have been in early May twice and late September last year. I thought Sept was less crowded and (for at least part of the week) was less humid as well. Going in Sept again this year.

I have been in May and September. I think the temperature mid-day was about the same but the crowds were so much better in September with no waiting in lines it didnt seem as bad.

We will be there (if nothing happens)Sept19-Sept26 and last year we went Oct 1-8th.It was hot but not as hot as June and July.We had a trip booked for Sept 20-Oct 6th,but because our airfare went down 100.00 per person (4 of us) we changed our dates and got our cheap airfare.We are really looking forward to going again,we've been there in May,June,July,Oct,Nov and love Nov the best but because to the package dates and airfare rules we're going in Sept.Staying at the Contemporary,where are you staying?Just know that anytime in Fl. is hot exept for during the winter months,so just be ready for it.

I went in Spetember of 2000, labor day week. I really liked it. It was hot and humid with a rain storm every afternoon around 3:30. I went for early opening then as soon as the parks got uncomfortable and more crowed, left for a water park. After the thunderstorm, I went back to the parks for the evening. Except for the brief thunderstorms, it was great waterbaby weather. I'm going back September 18 and am looking forward to it again.
