How hard to book OKW GV at 7 months?

We are planning to take my bil and sil and their family next May, end of May beginning of June. We thought we'd book 2- 2 bedrooms at our home resort (BWV), but then got to looking at points for all the GV's and we could do OKW GV and add a few extra nights! I'm just wondering if it is hard to book the GV at 7 months? Any ideas? I'm sure I'll go ahead and book the 2-2 beds, then switch if it's available.

I had no luck this year for the last week in June. However, I think my error was to wait to my check out date to try and book. If I ever did it again, I'd call day by day at 9 am in the morning.

I was able to snag an OKW GV at about 5 months out for August 26 - 30th without waitlisting.
