Hi, we are going to WDW for 7 nights, and wondering how hard it would be to get to Universal without a rental car, costs would be great too. I have 2 children 1 8, and 1 2, I have never been to Universal or IOA, and know nothing about either. (I'm researching now) Is it really worth leaving WDW? THANKS

Either a cab or a town car service is the way I would do it with small children. About $60 - 70 round trip.

I would rent a car for the day. If you reserve in advance (with Alamo or National) you can probably get one for about $50. Alamo/National have locations at the Dolphin and the Car Care Center near the TTC.

Mears shuttle service is $14 pp r/t. They pick from WDW resorts and you schedule your return time with the driver or can call 1 hour before you want to be picked up. Done this before, works like a charm. That said if you can find a towncar service for $30 you'd be better off. Try this www.transportation2disney.com I used them last year for airport r/t for a party of 11 and they were wonderful. HTH
