My fiance and I are planning on using our DVC points for our honeymoon. Gotta get our money's worth!:thumbsup2 Half trip AKV Concierge, Half Vero. I was wondering .....how hard is it to get a Vero studio towards the end of July? Should I book an entire trip at AKV (our home resort) at 11 months "just in case"? Also...we were thinking on the drive back to NC stopping at HHI...is that hard to get at 7 months?

Thanks!

I was able to book an OVIR at Vero for the second week of August at just under the 7 month mark. You can always book AKV at 11 months and call at 7 to feel more secure.

Hilton Head is much busier at that time, I believe, and may be harder to book, but Vero seems to have some availability.

Have a great honeymoon!

You shouldn't have any problem, but you might want to consider an Ocean View Inn Room (OVIR) instead of a studio. Same points, but as the name suggests you get an ocean view. The downside to an OVIR is it has two queen beds whereas the studio has a bed and a sleeper sofa. Still, the view is worth it.

It's a piece of cake - summer is not the busy season at Vero, because it's disgustingly hot & humid.

By all means go for the ocean view inn room - the studios are awful. I had to be moved to one once when the roof was being repaired, and if it came to that again I would seriously cancel the trip and stay home.

One thing about Vero at that time of the year, it can get real hot. I did August one year and it was 90-100 degrees every day with 80% humidity. Almost unbearable. The pool was like 85 degrees.
