How hard is it to get Ressies for Ohana for 12 - 14 people

Hi Everyone,

I have been trying everyday for the last 3 weeks to get reservations at Ohana for a part of 12-14 people with no luck. Does any one have any suggestions on how to get these reservations since it is such a large party? I know they seat up to 14 people so that isn't the issue. Is it better to keep trying everyday on line or is it better to call? We are looking between 12/1/12 and 12/8/12. Any help would be greatly appreciated

'Ohana is tough to get, even at 180 days out. Your only option is to keep checking every day - with the CC hold, lots of folks do cancel. But you'll need someone with a large party to cancel, which is a long shot. You may be better off trying for Kona.

I don't think it makes any difference whether you call or go online to book.

I booked 2 large parties last year for my wedding (in Sept) for Ohana's but did so at 180 days out - made 2 reservations for the 14 (was a 5pm reservation for when they open to seat such a large party) and combined what we needed when we were there to all sit together/near each other. Its probably going to be super tough this close out. I would also be looking for a table of 6 and table of 8 to try and piggyback reservations (if you can come close to the same times) good luck!

It is extremely hard to get reservations for 'Ohana - other than Be Our Guest it's probably the most difficult place to get into. Since people have been booking 'Ohana since the begining of June and you're trying this late for a very large party it is going to be very very difficult.

-You can try checking online multiple times a day. If you check once a day you have one chance of success, if you check 10 times you have 10 chances...
-You might want to try breaking your group into smaller parties to see if you can find reservations this way.
-You can subscribe to the Dec cancellation thread on the reservation board.
-Be flexible as to the day, the time and the meal.
-Have a back up plan.
