I was thinking that might be a nice trip sometime in the future.....not this year of course. Could you get that at the 7 month window???

We went to VB several years ago over Easter...never again! It was a nice place but the pool area was so crowded that you had to "claim" a chair in the wee hours of the morning just to have a chance for one later in the day. Of course, Easter (or any other holiday) is likely to be more crowded at any resort, DVC or otherwise, so if that is when you need to travel, just be prepared for lots of people joining you! Hopefully someone will address how easy or difficult it would be to get reservations 7 months out.

Yikes..thanks for heads up. Well that would be miserable considering there is not much to do other than pool/beach.

Don't know as I booked at 11 months on the dot for Easter.

We're spending Easter Monday in Melbourne watching DH's beloved Tigers play the Washington Nationals.

DH gets up real early so I have no doubt I'll have a couple of chairs staked out(I thought VB had a pretty strict rule about reserving chairs, guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks).

We'll be down 3/22-3/27, had to cut a day off since DH has executive MBA classes the next weekend.

They do not let you reserve chairs anymore. The lifeguards will take the towels off if they appear unused for a length of time - say after an hour or so, especially if it is just "reserved" by placing a pool towel over the lounge!

We have gone at Easter for the last 3 years and it is so much fun! We used to go to WDW for Easter - now that is crowded- then we tried VB and we love it! We'll be there next month for Easter and can't wait!!:)

I was able to snag Easter this year at about 7 months out (could have been 6 months out). I initally had to wait list 1 night but that came through within 2 weeks of my initial ressie. We will be there from the 24th - 29th. So yes! It is possible :goodvibes.

Happy to hear that! Two years ago over Pres. Week. chair reserving was in full force. It was a full resort that week. We never had a problem getting a chair when we needed one, but it was mighty funny to go down to the pool in the early am and see a group of lounge chairs with one flip flop each seat, a sunscreen bottle here, a hat there .... and no one in the pool!!! ;)
