How hard is it to get a mid-July ressie at BCV or BWV?

I've been reading lots of threads and have learned a ton in the few days since I found this board, but is mid-July considered high season for DVC. I know on the points chart it's listed as Magic season, but is it hard to get a ressie at the 7 month out time for either of these resorts? (Specifically looking for the week AFTER fourth of July.) TIA!

We got into BCV studio at the 7 month mark at the beginning of June last year . I think time wise it's about the same.

There was a bunch going on as well so I was worried but no problem and could have had BWI preferred as well.

We might be trying to go down around the 4th this year as well and might try a split stay as we are doing 12 -14 days.

Awesome - thanks! I guess we'll just have to wait and see. We need a 2BR for a week, then hubby and I are staying on for two more nights by ourselves without some of the extra family members. I hoping to maybe get the week at BCV, but then keep our 2 night reservation at AKV for our last 2 nights.

I've also noticed that some people call daily to get reservations instead of waiting until the check out date time.... is this a better way to get reservations if you really do have your heart set on something? Is this the kind of thing to do for a transfer as well? And if your 7 month out window falls on a Saturday, I guess you just wait until Monday morning then?

Sun is the only time MS is not open Sat they have limited hours.

When you call MS that first day they should be able to look and see what available and if you should book Day by Day.

Last summer we went mid-July and did not have a problem booking four months out to BWV. Even though BWV is our home resort this trip was an "extra" we threw in. I was pleasantly surprised that not only did we get BWV but we also were able to book the BW view!! I don't think you'll have a problem getting into at least one of them at the 7 month mark.

I called a few weeks after the 7 month window for this past July 18 and got BWV with a BW view no problem. Now if only that were the case for Nov. We are currently waitlisted for BWV for the end of Nov.

We bought DVC in March, booked July 8-12 at SSR with a waitlist for BCV (studio), and the waitlist came through within a couple of weeks.
