How hard is it to get a 2br at Vero in mid late July??

I'm not sure about late July, but last year at the 7 month mark we were able to book a 2 b/r for the week after the 4th of July.

How did you like Vero?? How long did you stay?? My teen son really wants to stay there. I am thinking of some how fitting that into our plans next July. We play to head to Disney around July 20th or 21st.

We loved VB. I'm pretty sure that my kids would be happy going there every year and wouldn't miss WDW. I could see a teenage boy liking it--the pool, the beach, the activities, the girls, etc.


We stayed from Sunday-Friday, then drove to WDW for Friday-Sunday.

We booked one at 7 months for June this year. July should be even easier. We've booked 1 bdrm, 2 bdrm, and OVIR rooms at 7 months for many years now.

No problem....

You're going to love it. The whole different experience. You won't have to have everyone running on the same schedule. You can go you can set up camp on the beach and each of you can move back and forth between the pool and room as desired or needed. This is everyone at their own speed, no stress time.

They have a lake, tennis courts, valleyball court, soccer field, basketball courts, across the street. You can cycle on a trail from over there 8 miles up to Pelican Island.

i want to do 5 nights in a beach house in august - end of august - hope i can get it, right now its just the 4 of us, but hoping other family comes, plus i want to sit and watch the water!! they are all waterfront right??? but can you go to and from the beach from the house?

I don't know how easy that will be. I know many people buy just 50 points at VB just to be able to get a cottage. But I have heard of some people getting them at 7 months. I would think late August is probably the most likely time to be successful.

They are beach front. No Trees or buildings between them and the ocean. However, you're not supposed to go directly from the cottage to the beach. They try desperately to keep the dunes fully vegetated (if that's a word) to protect against erosion. Click on the "take a peek" link in my post above and you can see how they are situated.
