How hard is it to get 1BR or 2BR ressies at VB the week of Presidents' Day?

Any VB lovers out there who happen to own elsewhere? The week of Presidents' Day (NE school Feb vacation week) is when we like to go, but we have always gotten the Ocean view Inn rooms, which are lovely but no longer sufficiently spacious for our party. So we're thinking of trying for a 1BR or 2BR next year at the same time, maybe using our SSR points.

So is there anyone out there with experience reserving a VB 1BR or 2BR for President's Day week at the 7 month mark? We're not gonna try for the actual weekend, but rather the following week, since we seem to need a vacation after going to the parks, and maybe 4-5 days at VB might do the trick. Also, my parents are not up for doing the parks anymore, but loved staying in VB this year: my 80 yr old DF and 75 yr old DM were out kayaking on the Indian River doing a bit of bird watching a week or so ago, and loved it.

I can't answer your question, I just wanted to comment....We stayed with my parents for a couple of nights in Vero Beach (they own a home there) during President's Week and it was so beautiful. We weren't at the DVC resort, but the whole beach thing was great! It does look like it might be a busy time since that seems to be one of the higher point seasons for that resort. Best wishes, I hope you are able to get your villa, it is a very nice place to visit when you are coming from the cold northeast.

What about the end of June? We take the kids out of school for WDW, but would like to do VB early summer in a year or 2. Is June a busy time there? We would need a 2 bdr villa.

Also, how are the restaurants?

How difficult is it to get the inn room at 7 months out?

I was able to get Ocean View inn room ressies at the 7 month mark for Presidents' Day weekend, as was our pal Lisarineff. So I am guessing that Inn rooms are easier to come by than the 1BR and 2BR. As for the month of June, the CMs have told me on a number of occasions that summer is their busiest season.

I guess I'll ask the nice folks at MS and report back. But anyone who knows from personal experience, I'd love to hear form you.

Funny you should ask. Even though we own at VB we don't have enough points for our annual 4 night stay in a one bedroom. We have been able to get 1 bedroom at 8 months. This year we got a call from MS telling us that they were over booked due to roof repairs and wanted to move us to an inn room. We said no and held our ground. They were able to keep our resveration after about 3 weeks of stress.
Were you there this past Preisents week? I did not see an roof work going on.
