how hard is it to book at studio at BWV or BCV in August?

Dh and I are planning a trip for our anniversary next year and are starting to save money towards the trip. We rented DVC points on our last two trips and loved the resorts, so we want to budget to rent points again. We would prefer to stay near Epcot and HS since those are our favorite resorts, how busy are the BWV and BCV that time of year? If we had someone lined up to call at 11 months, is there are good chance we'd get what we wanted? We're thinking about checking in on a monday for 4 nights, would we have better luck with a sunday check in? TIA!

You shouldn't have any problems at all if you have an owner all set up to call at 11 months.

We are travelling with a large group this August & staying at BCVs. Many of us booked our villas at the 7 month window with no problem at all.

We were able to book 6 nights in a preferred view studio at BWV 7 months out for spring break 2009 (week before Easter). The fellow that we were renting from was up to make the call first thing on a Sunday morning at exactly 7 months out for a Friday check in (we did a 3 way call so I could make decisions on the fly if BWV wasn't available). We also got 2 nights in a second studio at BWV at 7 months calling later in the week for a Tue night check in.

So, I would say that you would have a great shot in August at 7 months, and are practically guaranteed at 11 months.

I've gotten BWV (preferred view) at 3 months out.....

BCV too---but sometimes not all of the days. I chose not to waitlist.

I just called on Thursday and got a 1 bedroom preferred view at the Boardwalk for July 7-10. So what's that, about 40 days out.

I think you should be able to get one or the other - esp. if they call right at 11 months! I called right at our 7 month window for a studio at BCV from Aug. 16-23. One day of the week (the 18th maybe) was not available but BWV was our 2nd choice and it WAS available for the full week so I took that instead and waitlisted BCV. Our waitlist came thru within just a day or two so we ended up gettin BCV. We really wanted to try both resorts and the only reason I preferred BCV for August was because of SAB - I thought that would be a bonus for a summer trip. We will save BWV for the another time but we were happy with being able to get either resort.

I don't think you will have a problem especially if you rent from an owner that has BWV and/or BCV points as a home resort so they can book 11months out.
