any word on how the refurb at BC is going? we are planning first trip to BC next monday and my wife is really excited. dont want her to be dissapointed about how resort looks. also what room to request. we will be spending more time in room than we thought.
how are fireworks views?
what about water, garden views?
can we requests them at this late date?
are they worth extra money? what are chances of upgrade?
any tips on BC would be greatly appreciated.
thanks for all the info,
mikewdw

When we were there in May, the section near the quiet pool was closed off as they were refurbishing that area (quiet pool closed also). I have seen posts where I think someone else called recently, and they were still working on that area, although I don't know if it was to the extent as a month ago. Your best bet would be to call the resort. I didn't take away anything for us. My parents went with us, and usually use the quiet pool, so were disappointed that it was not open, not to mention they had scaffolding right outside their window (they had a waterview room). There were no chances of upgrades when we checked in, they were booked solid (2 conventions and the renovation closed some rooms). We had a standard room, and looked out at woods/gardens (if I leaned out my window I could see some of the villas). I think we were in room 2580. It was a great room, very quiet and not far from the elevators. Can't comment on the other views because we've never experienced them.

We were at BC in Rooms 3567 and 3569 from MAY 28-31,as and upgrade due to POFQ closing. The location of the rooms was good-stairwell down to the volleyball court was convenient as well as the small elevator nearby.I assume this was where they were sticking the overflow(upgrade guests). The construction was loud-and we were told that all construction would end at 4 pm-not.The worse part was that they started by 8 am. neither was condusive to relaxing in the room, but we got a great deal-so we just put up with it.Any other questions, just ask.
