Generally I only put a few things in it cuz I also check a bag with all of my travel toiletries.
This time I’m trying to just take a carry on.
Everything fits in the baggie and the baggie does close and its not BULDGING but it looks “cluttered” probably because I have a number of small liquids in it like 1oz toothpaste, 1oz perfume bottle, a tiny baby lotion, a lipgloss, two 1oz jar containers…. Lots of small stuff that just settles together in the baggie between the couple larger things I have in there like gel deodorant and a lotion sunscreen.
Do you think it will be acceptable or do you think they will make a big deal out of it?
Do you really jam pack that baggie full or not?
If so do you get away with it?

You can cram as many items in there that will fit. I've had them pop open before screening and no one has given them a second glance.

Yep!!!

I cram mine pretty full and I do the same thing for each member of my family as well.
As long as the bag can shut you'll be fine. :thumbsup2

Just don't make it SO full that the Baggie may break. Although, I carry a couple extra in my carry on. Never k kW when you may need a Baggie. ::yes::

I pack more things into that bag than you would believe, it's always bulging. Before my last trip I bought a reusable one so I'm not using a ziplock bag anymore. It allows me to really fill it up without worrying about the plastic giving way. I think it was only a couple of dollars and totally worth it if you carry on bags on a regular basis.

They say that all the items should fit comfortably in a 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag. That said, we cram and never have an issue.

the "comfortably" is why i've never tried to cram it full and is why i'm concerned but after hearing that many people cram it full and have no problem i don't think i'll have a problem either.

To me, comfortably means it closes not that my little tube of toothpaste can stretch out & take a nap!!

No problem using a standard zip lock baggie, as long as you can completely close the bag. You might have an issue if you need duck tape to close the bag.

Some of the (allegedly) TSA approved 3-1-1 baggies sold are oversize. I suggest not putting more stuff in those bags then would fit in a "regulation" size quart zip lock baggie.

EACH traveler is allowed 1 bag. No where does it say that the items in each bag HAVE to be for THAT traveler. Many trips my grandson's 3-1-1 bag has carried a few extra nail polish bottles or perfume. Never been an issue.

Don't know why this is still a discussion. Fill that puppy as full as you can and still close it. It doesn't have to look pretty or neat. IT JUST HAS TO CLOSE!!!! TSA could not care less what it looks like! If that's still not enough room, check a bag, buy stuff down there or go without.

not sure if you were commenting due to my previous post but if you were my point was i am SOLO which means i am one traveler so i can't just ask someone else to toss some of my stuff in their baggie.

i was done with the discussion until someone posted that i should take two baggies.

So they misunderstood your travel situation. I think your question has been answered.
