Does it get really bad? Are there better times of the month to go? I've only been there in November.

Why do I know nothing about this? :confused3

Last year we went June 4-13th. Beginning on June 4, the crowds were manageable, but with each passing day after that we could see the place getting more and more crowded. By our last day there, it was a madhouse.

I'm so glad we followed Tour Guide Mike, otherwise we would have been overwhelmed by the crowds. We'll be going over the same dates next year and I'm not worried about the crowds at all. :goodvibes

We go in June most years and do not find the crowds unmanageable if you plan correctly. The closer you get to the end of June, the more crowded it gets. Go early in the morning, break in the heat of the afternoon, and go back in the evenings when things get cooler. Use fast pass and have a battle plan. The ones who are the most miserable are the ones standing in the middle of a park with no idea where to go. Expect the usual afternoon thunderstorm and do not eat at the usual times to avoid more crowds. Good Luck

We always go the 2nd week in June or as soon as school gets out which seems to get later every year!

Anyway, as another poster said, it seems to get busier each day we are there but with careful planning it's very doable! Will be there again this June!!! :cool1:

You're so right about eating! We would eat at a CS place between 11-11:30 (we were pretty hungry, as we'd gotten up early), and we were always among the first in the place. We made our ADRs between 5 and 6, and there were hardly any waits at that point.

Gay Days are some time in June. I don't know whether that will add to or diminish the crowds.

Tiggersmom2 says it gets pretty wild during Gay Days, and there might be behaviors that kids shouldn't see. Maybe she could post more information. I've never gone during that period, so I don't have any first hand information.

Because you were on your hot date last night when I mentioned it! ;)

As another posted said, the parks get busier as the month goes on. Before moving here, we made two trips in June. One was planned for departure the day school ended. The first week was earlier in the month, as the second year we had snow days to make up. It was busier as the week went on, both times.

Schools here in Florida get out the end of May, and it seems the further north you go, the later school gets out. It definitely has an impact on crowds, since a lot of people don't want their kids to miss school. It seems to peak July 4th week.

Gay Days is the first weekend, so if that event would bother you, I'd suggest going the following week.

I tried to find TM2's comments on the DIS about this and I can't. Do you have any links?

When someone posts another's name like that in a post it's usually joking around with them or some kind of attack...just wondering, which one is this?

Regarding Gay Days, you can look on their website and see which day they'll be at which park and just go to a different park. :confused3

I don't know what "behaviors" anybody is talking about. I never saw any "behavior" problems except from overly tired kids and parents. Certainly not from the gays.

This is the 2nd different board you've posted this on. Are you trying to get something started? If you don't have first hand information, why not leave it alone?

That was weird to say.

I was there one time in June, last week. More crowded than my 'normal' times, late May and early Dec, but not awful. The heat was pretty oppressive though.

That was totally uncalled for. If you have a problem, I suggest you leave it off my thread here on the DIS and take it up on the other board you frequent.

Thank you to everyone else who answered my question. I figured it would be full considering the kids are just getting out of school. I just wondered if June is the better month of the summer to go.

I would think June would be better then the July heat Silly.

When in June were you considering? Not that I'd have any input, since I usually go in November also. Just curious!
