How firm is the Carsland opening date likely to be?

A friend of mine has booked a trip to Southern California for June 13-20. I know Carsland is supposed to open on the 15th. How likely is it that everything will be open and running by the 15th? What day of the week do you think would be the best best for her to choose?

Well I think since DL made the June 15th date official its likely that all of it will be up and running. If not I would expect them to say "these things in carsland will not be open on June 15th" and then name the attractions. Also FYI DCA is closed on June 14th. All of DCA from what I understand will be closed on the 14th.

Yep, considering the fact that they've now gone public, and that they're beginning to schedule media and A-list guests, I'd say they'll move heaven and earth to make that June 15th date now. Their "out" may be to leave pieces undone here and there, as coaches24 says. But I think they're 100% committed to the date now.

Thanks! She has a 7 and 4 yo who will be thrilled if all is open. She just didn't want to mention it to them if the date was likely to change.

All the rides look ready to go now. They have been testing everything for quite sometime now. June 15th is for Buena Vista Street otherwise I would guess they might soft open earlier.

 

[Disney Dreams]

It's a Grand Opening date. I suspect, unless something is just REALLY problematic, everything will be open. The day before is a media day, for which Disney will of course want everything running. If she's will to deal with the to-be-exPected crowds, I would say she should have all of Carsland up and running.
