How fast could you plan a trip to a WDW resort?

I can top it all, this is the way my parents planned their trip last fall.

5 pm: We're going to go for our anniversary in 3 weeks. See what the Boardwalk or French Quarter would cost us.

5:25 pm: Here are the dates, let's book SW

5:30 pm: Yes FQ, is cheaper, but we really want to be able to walk to F&Wl so we'll do te BW.

5:35 pm: Here's the credit card, book the trip. We'll figure out eating when we get down there.

Ok, in all fairness, I secretly marked their reservations that it was an anniversary trip. They goth the upgrade to concierge, then let the concierge do all the last minute ADRs. :rotfl:

Count me in the under an hour group. As for ADR's, I have a cell phone w/ Disney Dining programmed in.

One hour, I did it three years ago for a family of 7 for a 4 day weekend. ADR the morning of for early or late diner. Stayed at SOG that time still had 3 days left from on our tickets as we bought an extra day at the park as a add on. American Airlines had a $1 far on one of the legs and $39 on the way back from Detroit and $149 round trip for my DD DSinL and DGrD.
We had a great time.

I booked the hotel, got plane tickets, packed my daughter, her nanny, my niece and myself. We were in WDW in under 12 hours. As a previous poster did, I made ADRs when I arrived with no problem.

I've said it before, but I've called to make hotel reservations while driving there from the airport. :)

I can work the plan out on the plane if I had 30 minutes or so to print out what I'd need.

I could also wing it and have several times.

I've often gone without ADRs and never starved. You can almost always find somewhere to sit down and eat. And worst-case is something like Pecos Bills, which isn't horrific for me.

If you told me, "We're leaving for WDW in an hour," I'd be fine. :)

I had a trip planned since Sept for Oct. We were going for one night and 2 days.....well my DH decided to cancel, so On Sunday 2 days before the trip, I canceled....On tues, he decided he wanted to go, so, OFF we went, arrived in 3 hours, after I called to rebook the room, having to pay FULL price (POP Century). We left at 11am the next day, and was home by 4pm. SO yes, it can be done, and YES I stayed for LESS than 24 hours.;) I have another trip planned for Oct, this year, if he cancells again, I will KILL him....:rolleyes1
