I believe there is a supermarket in the crossroads at Disney. That's about 1.5 miles from DTD. Can't remember the name of it though.
Oops just remembered. It's a Goodings market.

We have stayed at the CBR the last two years. I think you'll love it!

We always visit the Publix Grocery Store at Mile Marker 9 on Hwy. 192 (also known as W. Irlo Bronson Hwy.) in Kissimmee. It's a very short drive from the CBR and World Drive.

For the things we purchased, the prices at Publix were cheaper than the other local grocery stores.

You can find a map at www.flakiss.com which is the official site of Kissimmee/St. Cloud visitor's bureau. Shopping and accommodations are all located by Mile Markers. The markers are HUGE and are bright purple. There's no way you can miss them.

Hope this helps, Lisa

Another option is using wegoshop.com. You can send in your order before you leave and it will be delivered to your hotel. Bell services will keep it if your room is not ready. The women I dealt with is Marge, our order was perfect. I called her when we were waiting for magical express and she was at our resort 5 minutes after we arrived.

I agree. Goodings is a rip off..and kinda dirty compared to the others. I would say go to Winn Dixie...I like that better than Publix...but thats just me.

When I have guests staying on property that want to shop for beer and snacks, I take them to Publix just beyond the Dolly Parton Stampede building. Very close to SSR, and they always seemed delighted with the prices and selection.

By the way, the new McDonald's back there is really nice. Ususally I try to avoid McD's, but this one is an exception to my rule.

We'll be staying at CBR as well, in October, is the local store walkable?

The Publix is very nice, and the prices are decent. We make a couple of visits there ever trip. Wal-Mart is a little further away, but still not a bad trip at all. I head there only when I need non-food items as well as food/drinks.

There is no grocery store that you can walk too. The general stores at the resorts sell basics, milk, water, bread, cakes, snacks, etc.

There are two good grocery delivery services. One is www.gardengrocer.com for a small fee you can order anything you like and they will deliver right to your room. They are great, check out their web site.
The other is www.wegoshop.com and they are also good.

We always use garden grocer and get water, fruit, juices, milk, snacks, etc. for our whole stay. The money we save on water alone pays the delivery cost.

We're staying at SSR in August. Can you give me an idea how to get there fromm SSr.

Thanks

Head towards DTD; at stoplight at DTD turn left onto Hotel Plaza Blvd. At the intersection of Apopka-Vineland (535) and Hotel Plaza Blvd, turn right, but get to the left hand lane on Apopka-Vineland. Just after you pass under the I-4 overpass, you'll turn left towards the Prime Outlets, and the Shrine to Mary. Publix is just past Prime OUtlets on the left. Very convenient to get to.
