I want to make a reservation for Dec. 2021 and it won't let me online. Do I need to call them instead or do I have to wait? Also can you make monthly payments if you are doing a package?

499 days out OR when they release the 2021 packages, which has been the 3rd Tuesday in June the last few years. So not yet.

If they have not released the packages, you will have to call.

Once booked you can pay them however you wish, they require a deposit and for packages they require full payment 30 days out from your arrival date.

As PP mentioned, you have to pay a $200 deposit at time of booking and the balance will be due 30 days prior to your arrival. Between your booking date and payment due date, you can choose to make your own monthly payments if you want to, but Disney doesn't offer a formal monthly installment plan to pay it off. You should be able to make your payments right on MDE.

Be aware that if you need to cancel, it can take some time to receive your refund. Sometimes its recommended to put your money in a savings account each month and then use the lump sum to pay off your trip closer to your payment due date. This way you have full access to your cash, rather than letting Disney hold it.

Thank you! Normally I plan a vacation 6 months ahead and never have a problem booking a vacation online. I finally, after many years, have built up an emergency egg. So now I want to save for something fun in the near future! This will probably be my families last vacation where my kids are not married and doing their own thing, so it is special and we will be celebrating my husband's 75th birthday! Thanks again! Can you tell I am excited?!!!
