Hi, I just made a PS for the lilo & stich breakfast at the DLH for my brothers birthday and now I'm worried I didn't leave myself enough time. :confused3 I made the reservation for 11:50 and our plane lands at 09:55am. I'm thinking I should try to make this later (first thing Monday morning.) The next time she had was 12:20 and the breakfast was over at 1pm. I was worried we wouldn't get much time with the characters. How far a drive is it from the airport? What do you think? Thanks, Gina

With no traffic it's about 25-30 minutes. I would push the reservation back though, because between getting out of the airport, possibly having traffic, and then having to park at Disneyland and get to where you're going there's just too big a chance you could be late. I say better safe than sorry. It's possible you could make it but it would be cutting it close I think.

I have never been there but after reading your post I would push it back
:)

i don't think you could make it if you were flying into SNA... Push it back, you don't want to be rushed.

Well I called this AM and the latest I could get was 12:10. :guilty: If we have to go right to the breakfast do you think they will hold my suitcase somewhere? AHHHH - Already I'm stressing. Maybe I should change this for the day we check out. I really wanted to do this on the first day of our trip though(it's my brothers birthday.) Oh what should I do? :confused3

Could you try to get on an earlier flight?

Are you staying at the DLH? If so, then for sure they will hold your suitcase at the bellstand. If you aren't, it still wouldn't surprise me if they held it for you anyway, especially if you tip them up front. I would take the 12:10 reservation, they allow you to be maybe 10-15 minutes late. Also, I have been to Goofy's about that time before and I am always surprised at how they keep replinishing the buffet even as the crowds thin, so you will have plenty of fresh food to eat. If anything I like to go at that time, it was less crowded for us and that meant the characters spent plenty of time with everybody. I might also advise you make a reservation for your last day that you can cancel if you make the first day reservation. That way, you can't lose! Good luck!

No my flight is the first one that day. We leave at 6:55, that early enough for me. LOl :teeth:

I just reread your original post and I see now that you said the Lilo and Stitch breakfast, not Goofy's. That is actually at the Paradise Pier Hotel not the DLH. But all my info and advice still holds true since I have done a late breakfast at that one too. Have a great trip!!

P.S. I also remember that once I saw some people at Goofy's I think that had luggage tucked in the corner at their table. So if you can't check your suitcase, you can just bring it into the restaurant with you! But I'll bet they will check it for you whether you are staying at PP or not since you are eating at the restaurant. They probably run into this all the time and are prepared for it one way or the other.

I think you'll be fine. You'll get your luggage really quick at Long Beach. When we used that airport in March dh took the kids to get the bags and I went for the rental car. There was no one in line, and dh still had the suitcases before I had the car! Its that quick. We used the freeway to get to the hotel. There was road construction, we got lost and it took "forever". It was still less then 2 hours after our plane landed. Returning to the airport we took surface streets. Its a straight shot down Ball rd. (Get on Wardlow leaving the airport, it becomes Ball, which ends up on the back side of the park). It was about 1/2 drive on a Monday morning in work traffic. It really isnt that far at all. I think 15 miles. I think the 2+ hours you have will be plenty.
