How far is it from LAX to DLR?

My husband is flying out to meet us and we are looking for the earliest flight. LAX is about 2 hours earlier but I know it's further. Question is how much further? He'll have a car so he won't have to worry about transportation. Is it worth it to fly into LAX? He'll only have part of 2 days so we want him to have as much time as possible.

Not far at all. 30 to 45 minute drive with little to no traffic.

We decided he'll fly into LAX. I was afraid it would be too far but it doesn't sound like it PLUS he'll get double AA miles because of the war between Southwest and American.

Love those miles....they are paying for 2 roundtrip tickets next month!
