I am planning my first trip on grounds and I am not sure when I should be making my reservation. I am planning on going 5/1-5/7/06. I would like to request a king size bed since it will be for my honeymoon.
If I make the ressie soon & then a package deal pops up, how easy is it to cancel original ressie to get package deal?
Thanks for all your help,
Tasha

You can make the reservation now and then make changes if discounts come up. It is very easy to make the change, sometimes they will apply the discount to the existing reservation, and sometimes they will change it. But there is never a problem with making the change. Make sure you tell them it is your honeymoon. All requests for beds and room placements are just that, a request, but maybe if they know it is a honeymoon they may try to honor the request.

Ditto the last poster. Make your ressies now if you know what you want.

My record? SIX YEARS IN ADVANCE! But that was for New Year's Eve 2000. LOL!

Last year I made all my reservations for a solo wintertime trip within 90 days of when I went... I think it has a loooot to do with time of year. But the previous posters are right, there is no "maximum lead time" on hotel/tix/package ressies, just on PS's (or whatever they are calling restaurant "reservations" these days) and other select fun-to-do's, which are normally about 90 days out I think...

We are headed down in September 2006 and already have our reservations.
