How Far In Advance For Rental Car

We are spending 9 days in FL in March 2007. How far out should I book my rental car? Hoping and searching for a code.

I would book it when you can but then watch for price drops. I usually cancel and rebook 4 or 5 times as the price goes down closer to the date. For my 6/18-23 trip last month, I started at $193 for National and ended up with $105 about a week before!

I totally agree with DebbieB. When you find a decent price, book it but keep checking all different sites at least once every couple of weeks to see if anyone has a better offer.

I also agree with all the pp! When I first started asking questions about rentals in April - people had rates in the $100's for a week with an SUV. I booked at Alamo for $360/total (11 days) and so far I have not been able to beat that rate with Alamo or any other company. I check almost daily. Book ASAP and be glad you can always change it if needed!
