How far in advance are park hours and entertainment schedules released?

Not early enough! Haha, there is a lot of frustration over their timeliness for releasing stuff like that. Usually it isn't until 30 days out that you get anything, and even then they are filling in and changing things sometimes.

You will usually be able to make your dining reservations at 60 days out, and the park hours will probably not be published yet.

A lot of planners look at their historical operating hours from years past and use those to predict what the hours will most likely be set at.

Have fun planning!

Thanks! Is it safe to assume that when I call 60 days out for dining that they will know nights for Fantasmic to be able to book the BB package for that?

At about 6 weeks out the schedule starts to show up on the calendar. At this point it is usually just the hours of operation. Once you get closer to your date then everything else slowly gets added in. At about 3 weeks everything should be somewhat final with all entertainment added. Like pp said though, sometimes thry will change things though evrn last minute .

That's how it works in theory, however several of us on this board have been trying to make reservations for F! and other in-park restaurants for the week of 10/4 since the 60 day out mark almost three weeks ago and they STILL aren't available as of this morning. :furious:

Hopefully, yes! But they are having some issues with early October reservations this month, as they say the schedule isn't set yet. (But there are Halloween parties and nightly fireworks to schedule around) In November F! will be a weekends only event, I believe, so you'll want to try for Fri. Sat. Or Sunday.

That must be frustrating! Just wondering if any of you are staying onsite and if so if the Hotel planners have been able to help or offer any advice. I always wonder if it's better to make our own reservations or let the vacation planners do it. I'm a control freak I guess because I always end up doing it myself but I'm also approaching the date to make my fantasmic! ressies so if it doesn't work that morning maybe I'll see if they can do better.

Anyhow -- good luck all.

It used to be several months but now it's about 6 weeks. Personally I think this is an attempt by Disney to make park attendance more linear but it sure hurts the occasional visitor.
Then there's the time's they don't announce a major shut-down until just a few days before. That's maddening to us.
