How far do you have to travel to get to the airport?

About 10 minutes from Long Island MacArthur airport. When the planes lands, we are off the plane and home within 1/2 hour.

DH got stranded at MacArthur last March on his way to Orlando.....fog!! Does that happen often?

I think I beat everyone, we have to travel 3 hours (or so) to get to the Sacramento airport on Thursday. SFO is closer but not by much 2 1/2 hours.

I live 15-20 minutes away from the Philly one

I live about 15-20 minutes away from DFW. We are lucky though because we really don't get too many planes overhead. My brother lives on the south side of town and the planes fly over much lower and more often.

My sister lives over 2 hours away from an airport.

About 30 mins for me.. the airport is right by my school, the airplanes fly right over our football field!

If I am the pilot (private single engine) about 5 min. If I am flying commercial, about 1.5 hours

We have two major airports - about an hour for each. There is a little regional airport about 20 minutes away, but I think it's mostly for private planes.

We're about 15 min from DFW.

I love travel and flying, so I love seeing the planes. But honestly, after living with them about a month, you get to where you don't notice them.

Our closest one is 20 minutes away. But we usually go out of Detroit, which is 1 1/2 hrs. They have more flights.

Depending on traffic we are 20-40 minutes from Midway and 20-40 minutes from Ohare!

My husband refers to the area we live in as the epicenter of the world....... so close to all the expressways, airports, the City (yet far enough away lol)

BTW, Patrick...... notice my location setting?:teeth:

I like 1.5 miles from our county airport, which only has small planes. And about 60 miles from the nearest commercial airport!

I'm about 15 minutes from Hobby Airport (Domestic flights), about 40 minutes from Intercontinental Airport (International flights) and 5 minutes from Ellington Field, which has shuttle flights to Intercontinental (free if you are on a Continental Airlines flight). Any of the three will get me to Anaheim or Orlando, so I guess that is what is important :teeth:

Let me see.... 40 mins from Newark.. 40 mins from La Guardia, a Hour from JFK.. 30 minutes from Whie Plains , 90 minutes from Islip
